I enjoy avatars of faces with dumb expressions, like EmCeeGramr, Dawg, blame space and Hot Coldman. I didn't know about the one below, but it's amazing in the same way.

the cris's one is timeless and makes every one of his posts 100% funnier.

Also I didn't know there were animated avatars back in the day, that sounds rad. I hope it comes back sometime.

Sad to say, but avatars went downhill after animated avatars were purged. There were so many great animated avatars. Wes' Paul Giamatti drive by, Gladiator emperor sticking his tongue out, "best avatar ever" girl etc. I really like Green Scar's Knuckles avatar though, it always makes me laugh.
