I have no idea if my avatar is "quality" or not.

It's just fine. For most of us, our avatars are like band names. They're often special to those of us who chose them. But to others, they're primarily identifiers that lose any additional meaning after constant exposure -- unless particularly brilliant or stupid (and sometimes even then).
