I like sandwiches
, I love sandwiches,
. I can say I have a number one because there are sooo many good ones, so I'll list a couple.

HAPS Roast Beef: Fresh roast beef, juicy and red with about a 90/10 ratio of meat and cheese served on a roll with the ungodly combination of barbecue sauce and mayo.

It sounds so wrong, but the mayo barbecue combo is amazing and the meat is so fresh.

Bake 'n' Shark: The sandwich is basically fried shark with slaw on a bake, it's a thin heavy dough that is fried into bread, look it up. getting the sandwich here in New York, it comes pretty much assembled, you just say which condiments you want on it, which you should just say everything. In Trinidad you get to assemble the sandwich yourself, which you have a choice of about 15 - 20 different things to put on the sandwich. Again, it is recommended to put almost everything on the sandwich. Now, the choices of the sandwich filling is too many things for me to remember, but understand that it's a lot if vegetables, some fruit, different kinds of chutney, peppah sauce, bandania. Such a good sandwich.

On a side note, I love a sandwich with a good horseradish spread. Something that gives me a good kick in the nose.

1. Philly cheesesteak (w whiz, mayo, onions, and mushrooms)
2. Egg McMuffin
3. Monte Cristo
4. Italian Night Club from Jimmy John
5. Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole.

I haven't had this sandwich in years, but it's amazing. I don't know of a single restaurant in town that could satisfy my memories with the Club Sandwich.

Oh man I had an answer in mind but it's probably the corned beef from Primanti's. It's basically perfect.

You know...I've heard of Cuban sammiches but never had one. WHat makes a cuban sandwich so good, and what composes one? Are they easy to make at home or should you go to a shop for that "authentic" taste?

Since burgers aren't being counted, I'd say that doner/shawarma/gyros are my favorite sandwiches.

Also, I love panini. I have a panini press at home and I use it all the time. One of my favorite recipes is grilled skirt steak on ciabatta with caramelized onions and romesco sauce.

the folks from seattle will know about this sandwich - arguably the best sandwich shop the city has to offer.

paseo caribbean roast; heavenly combination of slow roasted pork shoulder, special aioli, caramelized onions, cilantro, jalapenos, romaine lettuce on a baguette type roll.

Sourdough bread.
Jalapeno mayo.
monterey jack cheese.
spinach.
sprouts.
red pepper.
spicy genoa salami.
montreal beef.
salt and pepper.
grilled.
you're welcome.

Goddman those look well made.. my favorite snack

The symmetry between the peanut butter and the jelly looks.. perfect.

I cannot rank it as GOAT because it lacks meat, which all sandwiches should have. But I consider pb&j more of a snack. Grilled cheese is also excluded and put into snack tier.

Recently discovered the Kurobutoa Pork Belly Bahn Mi from Mendocino Farms.

our Chef’s playful take on the popular Vietnamese sandwich with braised, caramelized Kurobuta pork belly, housemade pickled daikon & carrots, cilantro, cucumbers, jalapenos, chili aioli on panini grilled ciabatta - See more at: http://www.mendocinofarms.com/menu.html#sthash.KAr3COZz.dpuf

And now I'm craving both.

Also love Italian style sandwiches (salamis, cheese, lettuce, tomato, great bread, etc).

Since Banh Mi has already been posted, here is my second favorite : le jambon beurre.

That's right, just bread, ham and butter, but with the right bread, the right ham and the right butter, it's just wonderful. Saucisson beurre isn't bad either, when it comes with pickles. :P

You can make this at home or get variations of katsu sando anywhere in Japan.

Pretty much everyone knows this place if they've been to/live in Montreal.

Extra points for throwing some Paul Newman's Two Thousand Island dressing on there. There's a corner store/sandwich place down the street that makes theirs with that dressing and it's god-like stuff, and unfortunately it's nigh impossible to find it for sale anywhere for some reason.

-edit-
haha didn't even notice the same image was used a couple posts up until after I posted this.
