Chittagong... gimme your room space! Not fair. :)

And I'm glad I'm not the only one whose room gets a little messy sometimes. :lol

Right, following up on requests, I've got pictures of the loft. It's horribly, horribly messy up there because when I re-did the lower half of the room a couple of months ago I shoved everything upstairs and haven't touched it since.

View from the ladder. You can see less than half of my magazine collection there:

My computer. The shelving isn't complete yet - it will have built-in lighting and sliding doors later:

Another corner of my bedroom... I haven't got many things in there yet:

Part of my living-room, with my favourite chair and a starving plant. Books to the left in the shelf, films and music to the right, and the bedroom in the middle:

The other part of the shelving system in my living room, with my Nintendo-games behind the sliding doors. Also, my tv and a messy table:

hylle2.jpg

Part of my kitchen, seen from the comfy chair. I really have to do something about that plant:

Ålesund, Norway. Feel free to pop in any time, Olimario... the door is always open for you.

You really shouldn't tempt me. My sister and her husband went to Norway in the fall and said it was the most beautiful place they had ever seen. The only drawback was that most people, while nice, were complete introverts.

My room is the smallest here. Downtown apartment, so there's enough room for a bed. My living room is pretty spacious for downtown though. I'll take pictures this weekend since I'm borrowing my friends camera anyways.

Here are my pictures of my room so you can see just how small it is! I can't really get anywhere else to take pictures, so 1 is from my walk-in closet, the other is from my normal closet and the other 2 are from my patio.

From my closet

Note - Pictures are greyed out because they're not me but other people, and I don't think it's right to show other people's pictures unless you have their permission.

From my other closet, not enough lighting so it just really shows off the patio. All of my patio seating is off to the side packed away cause it was damn cold for a while. Now it's starting to get nice out so I'll pull it all out.

All right, I put tremendous effort into getting my room nice enough to share with everyone. It took two consecutive weekends before it was fit for human habitation again, but now it's like a whole new room. I moved all of my electronics around, as you'll see:

img04348ov.jpg

This is a bird's-eye view of my heraldic dragon rug and of my snow-leopard bedspread. Less clear are the Gyration wireless keyboard and mouse, with giant mousepad.

img04358ov.jpg

My electric piano, with Ravel's Toccata from Le Tombeau de Couperin on the music desk. The artwork situation will change when I act on the advice in my art thread, and I have a more modern-looking lamp which appears to be busted right now.

img04368nv.jpg

Visible in this picture are my dresser, a dragon fountain, an Australian flag (for no reason whatsoever), a stuffed snow leopard from the International Snow Leopard Trust, a dragon bookend and a dragon votive, as well as a blinding flash covering yours truly.

img04378ku.jpg

The business end of my room. Visible are a Paris-Roubaix poster signed by 2004 winner Magnus Backstedt, a Sony record-player with Harmon/Kardon controller with huge ADS speakers on top, each of which has a dragon on it; a platinum GC with two platinum controllers, flanked by another dragon; an Epson printer; model cars; a wireless router with a little toy piano on top of it; a lighthouse sculpture barely visible behind it; an NEC LCD1765 monitor, coupled to an ASUS laptop which is underneath; Altec Lansing speakers, with a subwoofer at the bottom right; RCA music recorder and CD burner; floppies; textbooks; a plush white dragon; French flag; Dutch-made acoustic guitar; rat's nest of cables; tennis calendar on the wrong month. Oops.

My classical CD collection and a small part of my game collection.

Tremendous effort, but you forgot to remove the box of tissues next to the bed.

I want that bookshelf to have my children.

Where did you get it, and is it available online?

You want to have sex with the bookshelf? :lol

Anyway, I think it's called "Bookworm spiral", not sure where they're available in the states though.

It's called Bookworm, and is made by a company called Kartell. I bought it at my favourite local coffeebar/furniture-shop/architect-office :)

I know uk.shop.com has it online, but that's in the UK. I'm sure you can find it in the US too.

Oh, it's a damned figure of speech. :p

Google knows where to get it here. ;) It's a little expensive for a bookshelf, but according to what I've read so far, the thing can actually be manipulated into various shapes. That's hot.

Maybe as a gift to myself in a few months. I'll check the NYC Kartell store first, although they probably want the most for it.

Room/Studio is a tad messy. Took the pic from the corner of the room, you can see the bed right along the bottom of the image...

Funny that if you look closely you'll prolly guess where I work and stuff. If this camera was a bit clearer you could read out my bank statements and my credit card bill (and the stuff I buy). My taste in music, the programs I use a lot on my computer, the consoles I own (there's a leaning tower of console boxes, I couldn't get them all into the shot).

And I just noticed, by looking at the pic, that I have a bag full of garbage right by my computer. *LOL* Never noticed that in real life. :p

Whoa, just noticed some pills behind my side cabinet...

A tad messy? I wouldn't be able to find my way out of there. Not without seriously injuring myself, at least. ;) :p

Well, I finally got around from transfering some pics from my parents' digital camera, to my parents' computer, and then sending them to my laptop. Quite the process, but alas. The picks are also kind of big, so I'm guessing you can just click on the thumbnails.

So yeah...this is basically my room at University. A little small. Posters, from left to right, are: The Incredibles, Nightmare Before Christmas, Fraggle Rock, and then a couple more Incredibles and some Finding Nemo. In other news, my mini fridge is on top of my dresser, and there is an Armoire out of the picture closer to the door (I was outside the room when I shot this, btw).

Here's the TV setup, the only other thing of interest in the room, really. 20" Panasonic Tau (Not Pictured: Rabbit Ears to pick up 2 1/2 stations because I'm too cheap for cable), GameCube, games, and then the DVDs. Cheapo Logitech Speaker set rounds it out...doubles as a speaker system for the GameCube, as well as a set of speakers for my laptop, so I can use iTunes as an instant stereo, as well as for watching DVDs and downloaded TV Shows.

In a terrifying twist of fate, I'm stuck in the same room next year too, so at least I'm content with it. I get a lot of "How can you LIVE in here?" comments. Good times.

The mess reminds me of my room in university. Except I had a whole flat to play with. It was one messy-ass flat -- you virtually had to jump between piles of crap :)

The room does look a bit small, but I love the way you decorated it. If feels so much like some 17-century room for some strange reason. Love the beanie babies too ;)
