Good video that covers real time AI and trained AI, the Starcraft 2 AI part was interesting. Love this guys stuff.

Oh nice, I was expecting this to be another one of those threads of people going, "Why they can't just be like FEAR??", as if the 'communicating' did in that game was for the NPCs rather than to fill players' imaginations with ideas of smart AI, or that the flanking systems of that game would work the same in open-world games.

This video and this thread has a better chance of really breaking down what AI is doing, why AI really has improved in drastic ways over the years despite players not always recognizing it, why "smarter AI" isn't necessarily better AI in games, how much hard work goes into designing and balancing the AI even though people think they're "stupid computer characters", and then where improvements lie in actually making tangible improvements in game AI.
