Yu Suzuki retweets image GT team reacting to Shenmue III reveal.

pretty much how everyone felt lol

I'm happy the devs can see how much happiness their games bring to fans.

The existence of the GT stream makes helps ease the pain of having missed the live reveals.

That's me when DMC5 and later Shadow Hearts is announced. Thanks Verendus. :)

There's a megathread of conference reactions somewhere on Gaf

Yeah, but there's just something to their on-video reactions, and I was familiar with Kyle and Huber's hopes beforehand, which makes it even more gratifying that we got everything in one place.

I like GT a lot because they are excited when things are exciting and can be brutal but fair when things arent right. But no one ever gets really "mad" at things, because really its just videogames.

This makes it extra special if you tuned into the Shenmue livestreams of Huber playing through the games in parts over the last few years. I mean when you talk about having a good amount of passion for a series, and you finally get something? You can definitely understand why he shed tears of joy, almost got me crying over it lol.

I love all of this, if only because of how cynical and down Kyle tends to be on GT Time sometimes. Huber is just pure hype all the time.

Hell, they can play a game like Bad Boys for the PS2 and still have fun with it.

Such a great moment for e3. The industry came out guns blazzing this year and his emotions was how majority of us felt when it comes to the megatons that was dropped at sony's conference. When I heard about FF7 being remade for ps4 at work, I lit. couldn't believe it. (it's one of my favorite games).

I had to go back to watch the GT reactions the following day. I can attribute to the live reactions from people at the Sony Experience.

TLG: Hyped shouting followed by complete silence as everyone tried to take in the fact that TLG was actually happening. That the dream was alive.

FF7R: Slowly building excitement as the crowd questioned if what we were seeing was really real. That we would once again travel to Midgar and take on the world as a spiky-haired punk finding his true place in the world. REMAKE appears and shouts, followed by tears of joy streaming from viewers faces. It was happening. We never thought it would happen and it did. The dream was alive and stronger than ever. Two game birthed into the world we all thought would never see the light of day.

Shenmue III: The crowd dies and slowly ascends to heaven, bathed in the glow of a true dream being reborn. The dream becomes a new reality.

Haha this is so true.

They opened with The Last Guardian and I lost it. I was like Sony you open your show with something as big as THIS?!

Then FF7 trailer happens. I slowly realize what Im seeing but dont believe it. Then HOLY SHIT ITS BARRETT! HOLY SHIT ITS CLOUD! HOLY SHIT ITS A REMAKE!

Then Shenmue III and I'm like Sony you have lost your god damn minds. This is insanity

You know his reaction was genuine because he only needed one single musical note, it was the same for me.

Yep, just hearing that note right before anything, my brain almost exploded. I would have loved to been in that E3 conference room, it was war room for planned nuke attacks, must have been nuts in person.

Sony dropped the mic. All of them.

Why do people think she doesn't know what's happening? She knows, she's just not getting visibly excited. I just think that's just how Elyse is.

Yeah this is unfortunate. She's been with GT for awhile now, and is a pivotal part of the team. She definitely knows about everything. She just doesn't express emotions the same way they do. And that's fine. I've seen quite a few people who don't know anything about GT, judge her reaction negatively, just because they don't know who she is. And that kind of a bummer.

They said plenty of stuff was cool, like Horizon for example.

They just didn't jump around for these announcements. Which for me was okay since I felt the same.

I like their sarcasm and more contained "this looks cool" than jumping around for a CGI trailer.

This thread is basically "why doesn't Giant Bomb care about what I care about"

Actually guys, technically Shenmue 3 is coming... and then some. Like there's so much of Shenmue 3 coming that they may as well make Shenmue 3.5 as well. Check the Kickstarter. Over $3 million funded, when the initial goal was only $2 million.

This will go down as one of the greatest moments in gaming ever conceived... unless it's already gone down as such.

One of the highlights for me at E3.

I really regret watching GiantBomb stream. Never again. Just was just constant criticisms and pessimism. Fuck that. Just one big regret.

yeah their schtick is getting old
stopped listening to the podcast months ago because of that

I don't have much else to add to this except, I don't know what they're like off camera, but on camera Bosman and Huber are personality wise two sides of a coin.
Any video they do together is pure joy to watch and the reactions highlight it that much more.
It's like an elixir to the rampant poisonous cynicism on the internet (not everywhere on the internet mind you) and watching Huber literally "can't even" about a game he's been waiting for for god knows how long made me have the biggest smile.
It just goes to show how much joy this little hobby of ours brings.

Off topic JESUS Sony killed it this year.
i still am trying to process this.
(Forgive my poor wording. It's stupid early)

Their reactions were pretty hilarious, especially for Shenmue. It's rare to see people that excited for something and for it not to seem utter horseshit like the plague of reaction videos on youtube. They seem like a fun bunch at GT.

I'll admit I did throw my hands up in the air during the Final Fantasy 7 reveal.

Hey now lets stop with the common sense, gotta keep that "they hate games and never get excited for anything" bullshit rolling. Mario Maker worst game of E3 2016!

This is so true. And why I don't understand people that are saying how "unprofessional" or "not mature" their reactions are.

Its fucking video games.

Absolutely loved watching the GT stream during all the conferences.
It was the perfect companion stream, to really emphasize just how crazy this E3 was.

I'm sure a lot of us know exactly how that feels considering TLG, FF7R and Shenmue 3 were all announced.

Huber won E3. Seriously, because of him, it probably helped the project get to goal faster than it would have. Shit, I'm about to back the game & I never even played a Shenmue game before. Every time I watch his reaction, I can't help but put a huge smile on my face. Thank you for your enthusiasm, Huber. You're what the industry needs, but doesn't deserve.
