Yu Suzuki retweets image GT team reacting to Shenmue III reveal.

I don't care at all for shenmue and think final fantasy VII is vastly overrated, but I still got swept up with their enthusiasm, great to see!

But how the hell did this turn into a "wow giantbomb sucks!" thread? They aren't even mentioned at all in the OP! So they aren't as excited about some video game announcements like you, so what? What is the big deal? Should they fake enthusiasm for something they don't really care about?

Does anyone have a link to this No Man's Sky debate? I'm interested in seeing it.

Also, I'm eagerly awaiting the Final Bets results show and this week's GT Time.

It was a really cool moment.

Their stream was great last night.

I watched GB first and thought it was ok. Then I watched the GT archive and it was much better! Lots more enthusiasm, less snark. It just made me smile.

Honestly, I haven't even watched any of the GB post show stuff yet. I've been on GT the whole time. I like Giantbomb, but yeah, next year its going to be completely different for me.

I can't believe some of you are so jaded that you don't understand what passion is anymore. I don't know much about the GT guys, but their reactions here have made me want to follow their streams/podcasts.

Some people have real big inferiority complexes about Giant Bomb sempai and how they aren't excited about the games everyone else is excited about. Basically these people are crazy.

We should just be happy for the GT team and leave it at that.

They were snarky assholes through every conference. Soon as a video started for a game it was a rush to who could make the 1st joke mocking it.
High school jock shower room level shit jokes too, with them all quickly turning to aplha male Jeff in the middle for his approval of their crap. Eurgh.
GT teams hype and excitement for all the conferences was so refreshing and actually fun to watch.
If you're as jaded as the Giant bomb team its time to take a sabbatical on a tropical island for a few months, coz you're not doing anyone a benefit by shitting on the industry you're involved in.

Nah, you just need to have Jeff eat a hot pepper and give a preview of how great hololense is for his friends.

we are living in a world where shemue 3, ffvii remake and tlg are reality
my god it's taking a while to sink in

No. We are living in a world where the following games as of E3 2015 exist.

-The Last Guardian
-Final Fantasy XV
-Kingdom Hearts 3
-Final Fantasy VII Remake
-NieR 2
-Star Ocean V
-Persona 5
-Shenmue 3
-Yakuza 5
-Trails in the Sky 2

Every game on this list, at some point as been assumed cancelled, sold/received too portly to justify another sequel or simply non existent.

Even Persona 5 was at one point nearly a mobile game.

I think Huber's a very happy man right now! :-)
But heck, a lot of us have reason to be right now!
Best E3 in history - I honestly think stuff like this is why Sony is winning, this stuff fucking matters!

I'm a big fan of Giant Bomb, but their attitude toward that conference really highlighted how cynical and out of touch they can be. Brad was fucking insufferable during the post-show discussion. The mental gymnastics he had to perform to spin it as a loss for Sony were nothing short of incredible. It was nice to see Mark McDonald come on the live show last night and put him in his place.

EDIT: I didn't realize GT vs GB was a "thing." I haven't been frequenting a lot of these threads. This'll be my last comment on the matter, no use pissing in an ocean of piss.

Quick, someone post Giant Bomb reactions like they are identifying a body in an episode of CSI.

:-p

Next year or later this year I am watching GT coverage. We all play games for FUN. We all love this hobby because it is FUN. I want to watch people having FUN with this. Then have speculation after interviews etc. Cautious optimism, not cynical pessimism.

I no longer want to watch people that look like bitter old men out of The Muppet's. That is not how this medium is to be enjoyed, especially with huge announcements.

Yup. But we should also note that there was proportionally opposite reaction calling the GT team idiots for reacting the way they did.

Well this is jeff deal. If he doesnt like something it shit. this is nothing new. That why i watch them, it very funny.

Do you not listen to gaintbomb much? They get this hate all the time. It part of their deal. This is also the worst time fo the year for them. They hate e3 so much its very funny.

I find funny that Gametrailers didn't quickly upload themselves the videos of their reactions towards TLG, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Shenmue 3. A missed change mostly because their reactions basically viralized in minutes after the Sony Conference was done.

Really? I'd like to see that! Got a link?

Probably the best E3 gif ever. And he gave Huber a Ryo outlook in the drawing.

Ugh.... I understand that they're excited, but there is a lack of professionalism in their reaction, not being able to control yourself and flipping over tables is something I expect from forums, reddit, and youtube, not professional outlets.

Yes we should all be miserable robots.

People do get excited and it awesome to see that joy, games should be fun.

The biggest megaton imaginable happened. I still can't believe it.
This announcement has filled my heart with joy!

What I love about Yu Susuki is that he always is so humble.
He has made SO MANY classics I grew up with in the arcades.

Legendary games creator! Up there with Shigeru Miyamoto if you ask me.

I told a friend of mine today, who's not that big a gamer, about the FF7 remake. He said 'yea I saw the trailer, but it's just the PC version'. When I told him what it actually was he literally jumped for joy. It was amazing.

I really don't think you do, your 'ugh' is pretty indicative of that.

yeah fuck video games

I love GB but yeah, they never get excited for any game.

I don't think you love GB at all. Or maybe you've somehow missed them get excited about other game stuff, most recently Mario Maker, Just Cause, Horizon, Need for Speed, and HoloLens. I mean what else but joy would drive a person to 100% Burnout Paradise on two different platforms?

People can enjoy video games and not give a fuck about FF7 or Shenmue. I hope you and others like you understand that one day instead of making snap judgements about people just because they aren't giving you the validation you seek.

I love those reactions haha! I've never really watched the GT crew before but they seem like a lot of fun. Those videos have made me a fan that's for sure. Gunna check them out on Twitch.

This conference was simply magical, I haven't been a big fan of the Shenmue series but seeing their reaction and passion over the announcement brought tears to my eyes. We'll probably never see a conference like this one again.

I will never forget.......

"POSTER HAS BEEN VERIFIED"

In the FFVII rumor thread and the absolute insanity of hype that followed for like the next 80 pages.

And then uniting our individual causes through this banner before the sony conference started.
