Hi there,

checking around i've seen there are many different official and unofficial guides for Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Would you suggest me which one is the best in your opinion?
(please if you can, inlude pictures of the guides)

Thanks for help.

But in Majora's Mask if you want to get all the masks, a guide can be really helpful :-p Especially that one dealing with the marriage... I had to resort to GameFaqs for that one :-( But yeah, for the most part I try to find things on my own and resort to FAQs only when stumped (like the damn Water Temple in LoZ:OoT *I still feel dirty for having to have to look for a FAQ for that one area* O__o). One other benefit of a guide that I can think of is they often have some cool artwork included. Oh well, maybe I'll buy a guide if it's packaged with the SE version of LoZ:TP :-p Anyway, enough of my little inner dialogue :)

I got the official Nintendo Power guide to Majora's Mask and I'd say I was thoroughly satisfied with using that to find all the masks/pieces of heart. The main game is pretty much a cakewalk.

But yeah. Go official.

even zelda games can be pretty if you want 100%
I don't think Oli wasn't commenting on difficulty so much as purpose. The point of Zelda is basically puzzle solving and exploration, using a guide kills the fun in that.

You can apply that to almost every game. a guide kills the fun.
Not every game. I wouldn't use a guide for Zelda, but I'd use one for Street Fighter.

Any game who's core concept revolves around finding solutions is just spoiled by a guide. But not all games are centered on that.

yeah ok, that's true.

(reads the guide)
Light all the lamps to unlock the door? WOW! WHAT!? You mean that switch that opens the door, but doesn't hold the door open when you leave it, can be solved by laying a statue on the switch?!? NO WAY! The weakpoint of the giant cyclops is its eye?? I would've never of figured that out on my own!

NOTE - I love Zelda, just sayin'

Why dont you use gamefaqs? Great guides, and their free!
And i dont think theres anything wrong with using a guide to get all the masks in MM, the things you have to do to get some of them...o_O

Solutions in Majora's Mask tend to be a bit more involved than that though, more narrative specific and very time specific too. Getting 100% completion is a much more complex undertaking that the usual Zelda.

Anyway, the main point is that I've beaten Zelda twice in my life.
I consider this one the best game ever made.
I want a guide just to have it.
And eventually to refresh my mind for the hardest sidequest like Kafei or the latest heart pieces.

It's just love my friends.

Amen. When I completed the game for the first time back in March/April, I think I had something like 17 pieces of heart I couldn't find. :lol I did get every mask on my own but one, and when I read how to get it I smacked myself in the head. Did get all the stray fairies on my own. Killer game.

Anju and Kafei wasn't nearly as difficult to me as I had been previously led to believe by teh internets. I actually got it all on my own, but a couple of aspects of it were a bit trial and error.

I actually got this guide a few years back as a gift. It's pretty well done, although they forgot to list two heart pieces in the back. These heart pieces are still mentioned at some point, however.

And the writing is VERY entertaining. :lol

edit: one of the heart pieces, if I recall correctly, was the one in snowhead you need the scarecrow's song and the hookshot for, and the other might have been the 5000 rupee one.

I actually just beat Majora's Mask today, it was the second time I played it and I enjoyed it a lot more than my first time. The lost boss, even though it was pretty easy before, was a total cakewalk with the Fierce Deity mask, which was the only mask I had never gotten. I also got the Great Fairy Sword, although it was pretty much useless, like the Biggoron Sword.

Anyways, where can I find some good desktop wallpapers for this game? I haven't been able to find very many.
