that is the only thing wrong with this gameTimen said:This game will be awesome in many ways...
The ground textures, wont.
They've done this in every 3D Zelda. It saves time so they can have one general animation for every item that he picks up.123rl said:Looks very cool! This screen annoys me though:

Look at the position of his hands :lol Nintendo could have at least adjusted the animation to let Link actually HOLD the item that's suddenly just floating in front of him
yes it will, but Im not sure if i can wait that long!xexex said:Easter(ish) time should be very special indeed.

3D Zelda games are always like this.....123rl said:Looks very cool! This screen annoys me though:

I like the way they do it. Makes you know the object is "magical."123rl said:I know but I was hoping that this would finally change. It was ok for the N64 but things like this should have moved on by now, IMO
Seriously. At least put a difficulty setting in there.huzkee said:A little nitpicking. Nintendo we can do without the 1/4 hearts.
Do halves.
Make it HARD!
And also fix the horse animation. It looks rubbish compared to SotC horse animationSunski said:All they would have to do is make the floor textures look better and ADD MORE GRASS LOLZ and this would be right up there with SOME of the "next gen" games we've seen.
Chrono said:Isn't that just a rumor? Anyway I think the reason for the delay was to fill the huge gap between fall 2005 and revolution launch.
Wait I think aonuma did say something like that but was it as specific as re-doing animations?
Also considering the same team doing TP is working on rev Zelda I wouldn't be surprised if the motion capture they're doing is also going into the next-gen Zelda. This is the last stage of development for TP and probably the beginning one for the revolution one so big investments in orchestrated music (I hope so) and motion capture they're doing now could benefit both games. Even better for the next-gen zelda is that the team will be experienced in these things (creating huge worlds - biggest zelda ever, motion capture, orchestrated soundtrack (?), and hopefully other things) so they'll be better prepared thanks to TP.
I'm already thinking about the rev one and TP isn't even here. :lol
What do you guys say, 2007 or 2008? My guess is spring 2008.![]()

me too! Zelda: TP is looking fantastic, so they will have a difficult task trying to make Zelda rev better, but a great videogames company like Nintendo should be able to make the next gen games better then the previous gen. It looks like they could accomplish making Zelda: TP better than OoT.xexex said:exellent post Chronoand great points. I wasn't aware that it was a rumor about re-doing the animations for TP. maybe it was. maybe someone can post confirmation, or not. anyway, I totally agree that this final stage of development for TP and all the experience that team has gained will benefit Zelda Revolution greatly. I think we'll see it out by fall 2008. Yes, I've also been thinking about Zelda Rev as well even though TP isnt out yet !
it would be interesting to see what they will do with Zelda and I can actually imagine it working quite well. The joystick would be used for moving around, the d-pad can be used to select weapons, the main part of the controller can be the sword, the big a button could be used to fire the weapon and the trigger could be used to lock. Im sure they are going to implement many more things and make use of the controller to create a new experience, but i expect the control scheme to be similar to what I described.kablooey said:No surpise, these shots look awesome.
As for Zelda Rev...I can't wait to see how it takes advantage of the controller. And generally if the standard Zelda "set-up" even works at all on the new controller.
People seriously need to go back and play some N64 games before they say this.Kuroyume said:In some parts it looks like a great looking N64 game... It's a weird mix of good and bad. @_@
Thats what i said earlier. The horse animation in SotC is just amazing. So far Nintendo ahve not come close to making their horse animation look half as good, so they really need to put in more effort to make it look as good as other games this gen. I doubt Nintendo can make their horse animations as good, but as you said they do need to make it better.AndoCalrissian said:I truly hope they are doing some motion capture, because after playing Shadow of the Colossus, the horse animations don't even come close to cutting it. I'm not expecting or asking the same quality, but the ones they have now are just no good at all. Same goes for Kameo.
nevermind him, next thing you know he'll say some x360 launch games looks like half way decent N64 Games :lol *coughwallcoughguycough*Link said:People seriously need to go back and play some N64 games before they say this.
Yeah, next gen will solve all of those problems!White Man said:![]()
If you folks think this looks good, I'm glad the next gen is at our doorsteps. This would've insulted me if I were a Crimson Sea fanboy. It's hideous on a technical and artistic level.
