So when do we see the updated Pikmin build?

one thing I don't understand - if there is no saving, will there be checkpoints/new locations that you unlock as a starting point for the next character after you died or do you have to play and finish in one sitting? but then the game won't be longer than 2-3 hours...
Essentially you can plan for multiple characters with that storage bit then?

I don't get it. What does Red Steel have to do with this other than it was a launch game by Ubi?
It's an entirely different team making this game people.
No, no relation, other than they're both launch games and I've suffered before from screenshots made to make the game look prettier.
I thought so too until I found out that it is a sequel to the first game Ubisoft ever created, titled Zombi. I think that's pretty neat actually.
Thankfully, there's actual proof that the game looks that good.

The video is great stuff.
For those just tuning in, here's what we learned from E3 (mostly from the dev walkthrough):
- Set in London.
- Emphasis on survival. How long you can stay alive.
- One bite, you die. That 'character' is gone forever. Lose all your skills/gear.
- No saving, checkpoints of 'game overs'.
- Instead you 'respawn' as a different survivor in a different location, yet in the same game world.
- Can run into your previously played, now dead, survivors. Kill them to loot equipment you found during that play.
- 'Dynamic' level design to avoid obvious scripting. Scares/spawns different each time you play.
- As the game world is persistent actions by one survivor will be observable by another. EG: Unlock doors with one character, that character dies. Second character will find those doors unlocked. Equipment stored in safe houses by dead survivors lootable by new ones.
- Leaderboards ranking deaths per 'mission'.
- Wii U GamePad is your 'survival kit'. Used for interacting with the game world, using tools, etc.
- Used to create a cinematic 'third person' perspective when interacting via the pad. Devs liken it to horror movie scenes like someone trying to unlock a car, and an over the shoulder perspective showing incoming zombies.
- Can upgrade weapons.
Am I the only one who thinks that the game doesnt look good?

I am in love with that CG Ubisoft intro. Goddam.
Game looks good too.
I remember how hilarious this looked on that Nintendo Direct video the day before E3. This actually looks like it might be the best game on the WiiU
First thing I thought of. Maybe it's unfair.

They aren't trying to pass it off as a screenshot.
I know. It's the first thing I thought of. Maybe it's unfair.
Yep. A few people were saying Ubi was being corny for doing it. What the hell ever lolNot really related but I like how Ubisoft adjusts the logo screen based on the game with the animation into the purple swirly
The shooting mechanics looks awful. There's like a jerkiness...

Not sure if this has already been linked, but its high res footage of the same video. Looks much better. Shows off the amazing lighting
Don't forget the bit about your online buddies being able to put your previously turned character out of his misery.
Is it me or does the lighting seem vastly improved? I don't remember being this nice in the first footage.
Good news!!
The goal might simply be to have one survivor last ten hours worth of play
This would be awesome! Imagine the tension when you're on your nineth hour with this one lucky character that you've managed to survive with...
Has gun, puts its away, takes out Cricket bat, awesome.
