PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4/PSP) | February 2014

I downloaded Outlast last night and it took 110 minutes.

Is this because everyone was downloading it? My internet speed isn't shit.

So.. who's excited for this? :D

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahoooooooooooooooooooo!

Take my money!

My PSN has been chugging recently too. It took me an hour to download the 1.60 update.

Also, I've gotten my hands on Need for Speed: Rivals recently and I love the multiplayer integration. Now I just kinda wish it was more like Paradise with the pure amount of shit to do.

Starting a head to head race against some dude while running from the cops was a damn good time though.

As somebody that has played Dustforce for 350 hours on PC and have play through all levels in the Vita version, I have to say that you really shouldn't buy the game unless you have played through it on PC already and have a lot of experience with the game.

Most maps have slow-down and some have massive slow-down (Backup-Shift, Yotta difficult, Abyss etc.), if you don't know a good and solid way through those maps at the start you will HATE it, at least I would have hated it.

I think for me the game is passable at most, I made it through it and I can play a few maps on the go whenever I want but that because I don't need to progress anymore I did this on the first day and just rushed through it to unlock all maps.

I recommend playing through the demo first to see if any of the technical issues bother you.

hmm. the thing is I'm halfway through the VITA PLAY offer
Dustforce was on my MUST BUY list until this crap happened

I can understand that and it's passable ... it has severe issues but it is playable for the most part.

I mean, I bought it even though I heard of the issues before :P

lol i'll give the demo a go! i'm really hoping for a patch.
did the hitbox team manage the port or was another team in charge?

Just saw Dustforce was out. Was going to buy full price, but I saw a discount for the US store but not in the UK. Annoyed me to the point where I'll wait now.

EDIT: Just read the impressions above. Glad I waited it out!

I bought Trapt yesterday, and I can't stop playing it.

It definitely brings out the inner sadist in people, that's for sure.

Best trap combo is definitely Magnet Wall + Iron Ball, with a Bear trap for good measure.

On what device is this playable? PS3? Is it in English? I saw the trailers for Deception IV and I thought I'l like to play the previous games while I wait.

I looked up some screenshots of this and it doesn't look half bad. Never heard about this game before but now I'm intrigued.

Are they not releasing Lego Movie on the PS4 store then? Was hoping to jump onto my U.S account today to grab it.

I thought all PS4 games would be available through the store?

I managed to get a preorder on Amazon for £25 so will go physical this time around, or trade in and then buy digital US for cheaper.

can someone please tell me why i should get danganronpa and/or toukiden? i just ordered them off of amazon and then realized i have so many games to play over the next few months. debating on cancelling the order or not.

what kind of game is danganronpa?

Saving my money for TxK. 60fps gets the money, eat it Dustforce devs. Sick of these devs that think it's ok to release Vita games with bad framerates.

So I bought and started playing Persona 2 : Innocent Sin (PSP) on my Vita.

The main character seems to run too fast .. it's even quite difficult to stop at doors/exits and often run past them. Even the mini map moves damn fast. Was this a problem when playing on the PSP too?

This is the second week that the "what's new" section of the Italian Vita store is not updated, is it the only one or even other stores have this same problem?

I haven't played in a while, but I'm pretty sure you have to hold a button to run. Maybe check settings and see if there's an autorun function that's on or something?

Does anyone else have issues streaming game trailers on PS4? A few seconds in the buffer just chokes.

I swear, I can't stream an Infamous Second Son trailer to save my life. Yet I have a 50 down connection and regularly use things like Vudu HD and Netflix HD just fine.

What's up, Sony?

Are we allowed to post leaked Ad Scans? Heard Beyond: Two Souls and The Last of Us are going to be on sale at Best Buy for $30 next week

I joined the 64GB club! Placed an order on Nippon Yasan today.

I'll be 100% digital from now on (baring a few imports and collector editions). In fact I just cancelled my pre-order for Danganronpa on Amazon.

How does it look in widescreen?

I'll watch this in a bit. I'm not too sure about this title. It's been getting a lot of names drops here.

Looks really weird but really good. I don't know if it's the "best" as it would take a lot to dethrone a lot of the other ridiculously good games that Vita has...

I'm just saddened that I have no incentive to buy it next week other than the 20% ps+ discount since the play promo didn't have anything I was inclined to buy once Dustforce ended up having tech problems.

It's not even a problem on the Vita. I just recently played through it again after getting my Vita and had no issues like that tbh.

Well, seeing as how you told us all the important parts already, I'd advise against risking it.

Didn't pick up OlliOlli? Yeah, always frustrating when these PLAY Sales don't work out. I skipped the 2012 one on the PS3. Sound Shapes was the best thing there and I didn't want anything else(Papa and Yo, CS Go). And 2013's was just awful. Duck tales, ibb and obb, cloudberry.

The first PLAY was great. I bought them all, even though I didn't really plan on buying Deathspank. After that, I just bought Soundshapes. And then I think I bought the first game in the 2013 sale, but I skipped the rest (would've grabbed cloudberry if they had said it was crossbuy).

OlliOlli is not interesting to me. And DBZ is too expensive (and not that interesting).
So it was going to be Dustforce and TxK until the Dustforce port was panned in here.

Oh well... I suppose I'm still saving money by not buying the rest. ;)

I enjoyed Stick it to the Man, but I'll be damned if I'm going to sit through the dialogues again to finish up the trophies. Fuck unskippable cutscenes, particularly on a second run.

Also, I feel like I'm close to greatness on Surge Deluxe (not that anyone on my friends list is playing it). Just need to sort out silly mistakes (burning multipliers by accident) and work out how to use the frenzy properly - that block puts my head in a spin.

thought I was reaching the end of Uncharted GA and apparently I'm like halfway through -_-

this game is tough to slog through. I just wanna beat it since I've platinumed the other games in the series and to clear space on my card but ughhhh

So is this an up-port of the 3DS version or are they all the same this time?
Ugh, every time. The portable Lego games are different to the console ones. They have similar level themes, but play differently and do their own stuff too. Whether it's the 3DS version up-ported or the Vita version down-ported is kind of irrelevant.

They are good, fun games, and especially with the new style that started in Marvel, quite different and worth playing even if you've otherwise played the equivalent console games.

98% of trophies completed Persona 4 Golden.

Only one bronze trophy stands in my way... "Hardcore Risette Fan - Listen to 250 of Rise's navigation lines".

What cruel monster thought this up? It's right up there with "Experience a fusion accident", where you have little to no control over whether you get it or not :[

Played through the game twice, total of 117 hours spent. Just for kicks I did every single quest in my second run, as well as complete the compendium and all social links. I've never done that in a Persona game before, and doing the quests for fox and random quests you get from npcs have been oddly fulfilling; it gives more meaning to the side stuff you can do. Can't get enough of this game.
