Possibly. I don't know why, but I have a feeling this will also be a launch game for the Switch 2, so it might be announced at a future Nintendo event.

Personally I wouldn't be suprised if Sony keeps this light. Probably only reveal trailers for games releasing before may and third party releases. Saving most of their offerings for a proper may showcase

Bend and Blue point single player exclusives possibly Days gone 2 announcement for Bend and a remake for Blue point. Stellar blade dlc expansion. Ds2 with launch date. MHW with ps5 exclusive dlc. GOY trailer and launch date. Wolverine teaser. Intergalactic new trailer. Phantom blade 0 and Lost souls trailer. And some MS xbox games breaking the wall to PS5 with Doom, Indiana Jones, Stalker 2, Gears of War E, and Ninja Gaiden 4.

We ain’t hearing anything from bluepoint or bend for 3-4 years, they’ve just had their main (but unannounced) games they’ve been working on for the entire generation (longer in bends case) cancelled. Demons souls aside, they are both gonna sit the entire ps5 gen out. It’s shit, but Sony seems to have seriously dropped the ball with many of their studios, and wasted a shit ton of time, money and talent.

Well Intergalactic is obviously the grand game of this generation and I want to know all about it and have it in my hands as soon as possible, but I think it will release well later in 2026 or even 2027 and we won't see it for the next 6-7 months so the odds of seeing that at a playstation sop in february are close to zero.

Ghost of Yotei I might play, but in general formulaic games in the vein of AC, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima and many others that roughly follow the same formula of open world exploration and overall feel are not my highest priority.
I think it does look cool and I would like for it to be the game that makes me want to play it. Hopefully not just Ghost of Tsushima with a different protagonist and new textures and trees.

Other than that it is GTA 6, Silksong and Slay The Spire 2 that I really want to see.

Judas looks great, as do quite a few AA games (I wouldn’t consider Judas AAA). It’s mostly western oriented AAA that’s really gone down the shitter. China will start filling the gap, but they are only just getting going, they’ll be a bright spot towards the end of the gen.

I liked horizon zero dawn, forbidden west was just annoying, I don’t quite know what they did but they made aloy insufferable, it seemed like she would smile and talk disengenously through gritted teeth whilst wanting to punch everyone in every interaction. It made her super unlikable. All the other characters were also insufferable and boring. Sylens was great but barely heard from in the sequel, I’d have rather played as Zo than aloy, and those archaeologists were pretty cool, I’d play a future Indiana like archaeologist game as them. All the rest, meh.

Death stranding 2 will be great, but that’s not even a Sony IP anymore.

BluePoints cancelled game was GaaS based on existing IP. They've already stated they were working on an original IP. That's been in production since Demon's Souls.

Probably the single player exclusives from Bend and Bluepoint will be ps6 launch titles 4 or 5 years from now, which means a very good launch game for ps6, that is the only silver lining. Days gone 2 and Bloodborne remake would be cool launch game. But I still hope too see there game this generations console at least at the end point of Ps5, 3 years from now.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall past statements on that being open to interpretation. It being single player I thought was merely assumption based on prior precedent, and it being called “an original game” ie not a remake/remaster, but not necessarily a new IP. They aren’t a big studio, and the cancellation for both bend and bluepoint was presented as their main projects. Sure they prob have some other stuff simmering, but I’d be very surprised if they have another game in an advanced state of development.

Bluepoint's work on God of War Ragnarok wasn't all that different from what they did on Demon's Souls. I want people to realize that the latter was first and foremost a Sony Japan Studio developed game.

I'm actually on the side that we will get a new Everybody's Golf on PS5, but that will depend on how far along it would be; if it's for this year, it would appear at this SoP as the series has historically been released in the summer (bar EG4 and the handheld entries), if not, I wouldn't expect it to be shown until early 2026 or early 2027.
Everybody's Golf VR was ""current"" enough to be featured in the first State of Play.
