Playstation February 2025 State of Play Predictions

The only prediction I have is Bloodborne since they just DMCA'd the patch and demake. That being said, I'm not particularly bothered about Bloodborne being remastered, just give the people a 60fps patch with 4K resolution.

Outside of that it's probably sheer disappointment for me. There hasn't been a state of play announcement I've been excited for in a long time and I don't see this being different.

With the above being said though, I'd like to make this a more positive post so I'll mention the things I would like to see.
  • Killzone Trilogy remake or remaster including multiplayer. This might generate interest in a new entry.
  • A new Wipeout game with PSVR2 compatibility.
  • A new Warhawk entry or remaster of the PS3 game.
  • Colony Wars (as I believe Sony own Psygnosis IP, could be wrong).
  • God of War
  • SOCOM (no specialists or operators though).
The point I'm making here is that Sony are sitting on a goldmine when it comes to IP and they are fucking clueless on how to use it.

If I were going for a GAAS push, I would 100% be using IP that people are familiar with. Whatever they've been doing is fucking stupid and hasn't worked outside of Helldivers 2.

While I think it doesn't happen I called before Sony would be better off taking something like SOCOM and GaaS the shit out of that IP instead of signing a looney bin full of wokies who conjure some shit like Concord.

SOCOM is still a known franchise among team shooter players. Warhawk dito. Either of those would've been a better pick regardless.
