Yeah, those Customs fees are not tax. It's just their way of getting more money out of you. FedEx, UPS, hell even the Belgian National Post service is charging me money for handling the customs procedures (that's on top of the EU import tax I pay with each package).

I know it really varies on location in the US but does anyone have a rough estimate on shipping a figure to the East Coast? Rather curious since AmiAmi doesn't list shipping charges when preordering.

Late to catching up on all the WonFes news, but I gotta say there are some nice figures that came out of it! Biggest surprise for me personally was the announcement of the Natsume Altair getting a renewal. This has been my personal holy grail for figures and I couldn't be more happy to hear about it. Even if Alter inflates the price from his initial release, it'll still be cheaper than the ones I see going for ~$200 normally. Being Alter, I have no idea when he'll actually get colored/put up for preorder, but whatever month it happens in, I'll have to put all other figure purchases on hold. The manga/anime is honestly one of my favorites ever and I've been itching to have a figure from it that isn't a prize figure or a trading figure.
I admit I'm a little disappointed that only Len and Rin got drafts for the Senbonzakura figures as Kaito is my favorite Vocaloid, but I'm glad to see that work is at least progressing on the line! Hopefully their colors come out nicely. If they end up looking nice together, maybe I could go for the set.
Loving all of the Nintendo figures that are planned/got updated. Been a big fan of Nintendo for a good portion of my life, so I definitely have to be careful before I end up buying most of them. Might end up buying Nendoroid Link when it goes up for preorder for a friend of mine who is a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda series. It's such a cute and bright figure.

sal for a scaled figure is about 1.2k-1.5k. Rare cases is like 2k but those are for big/heavy boxes/figures.
EMS is like 2k-3k. But ems gets tons cheaper if you buy more than 2 figures and faster as well. I do monthly EMS orders.

Keep in mind that SAL can take weeks. I usually get EMS on bigger orders just cause it's so damn fast and at a certain point the difference between SAL and EMS becomes negligible.

Ugh! A Chrono Trigger anything would be great. We had those Plays Arts figures a long time ago, but aside from that...nothing.

Gundam Build Fighters is one big gunpla commercial. But it's a really good series as well.
I've had LaGowe for a very long time with the plan to add 3 BuCue as his retinue. After GBF I ended up biting on a Bearguy III and threw the 3 in the mix as well. So maaaaybe just a bit. The fact it's extremely cheap is the only reason I allowed myself to order. SAL delivery too! (my first)

I almost got into bricks before I started figures collecting, with the Imperial SSD. I got [] this close to ordering it but decided against it ultimately (even though I love their Star Wars line). I actually plan to see that movie, I've been hearing great things (if I manage to find a place playing it in english that is).
If you are willing to wait, yeah.

So I found out Koto is doing a Mikasa along with their Eren and Levi. Am I crazy for deciding to go with Koto over GSC? I want all 3 from the same company, and Koto seems to be the best hope for that right now, but I hate the little golden peg that GSC is using to keep her in the air.

I'm getting all three. No choice. But is it me, or is there something seriously fucked up about the shape of Psychic's head? The shape looks so weird.
It looks fine to me.
I think it's more to do with the artstyle than anything else. I know a lot of people hated the 7th Dragon 2020 Hatsune Miku back when she was first shown off [how dare they!?]. It might have to do with the angle, too.
Already put my order down at amiami. Thanks for looking out though. Now back to hunting for Phoenixes and Emma Frosts. ;_;

That's a task I don't envy. Good luck finding one for a reasonable price. The Emma Frost variant used to be down around $80 or so. Dark Phoenix, forget it. Might as well try to track down a White Phoenix variant. XD
I swear, this stuff is heartbreaking. :lol

It gets better after you track down most of the stuff you really want that was released before you started collecting. When you can just focus on new stuff as it goes up for pre-order, it gets easier to manage.
