Nintendo Direct Feb 13, 2014 Thread | 3DS/Wii U Spring games

Isn't this at a later time than previous Nintendo Directs? IIRC, they were usually around 9AM-12PM EST.

Could the later time mean something?

Lol who am I kidding?

Mayonnaise. Mayonnaise everywhere.

Neiteio, your list is good... But I mean, c'mon, that's so unrealistic... no playable
Krystal
? Instant debunking =p
She becomes playable in a plot twist halfway through the game, after Fox and Wolf have a fistfight while shirtless to satiate Boss Doggie.

Hmm didnt Next Level Games announce they had a "Top Secret Title" in development a while back? Maybe they'll reveal it tomorrow?

Edit: Also can someone Photoshop the X onto my Avatar too please? :)

Remember guys:

1) This Direct is later than usual

2) Bayonetta 2 will most likely be shown (two retweets from Platinum Games executives, only project they're working on with Nintendo is Bayonetta 2 and they don't usually retweet Directs)

3) X will most likely be shown (Soraya Saga, the wife of key Monolith Soft director Tetsuya Takahashi, only retweets when X will be shown, and she retweeted this Direct)

4) There will most likely be a new character reveal for Smash Bros. (Sakurai retweeted the Direct, and usually when Sakurai retweets an upcoming Direct, a new character will be announced)

It definitely seems like this Direct is more hardcore than usual.

This sounds like a retread of GAF wishes / speculation. Looks like whoever wrote that reads GAF.

Why'd you have to go and raise my hopes? Why...
ican'twait

EDIT: I'll also take an "X", if someone's willing.

Just woke up, so I see everyone kept their expectaitions in check...

I swear, some day GAF will learn. I expect much disappointment tonight.

Seriously, if there is no Bayonetta2 or X stuff I would not be surprised but you are just setting youryelf up for disappointment.

They might as well reveal that X is actually a Xenogears revival as well.

That gets me thinking...

Where is Mario Party: Greatest Hits? Y'know, a party game made with fan favourite boards and mini-games only, along with specific new mini-games involving the GamePad?

Is this before or after the stealth act where Panther sneaks around Andross's base looking for Pigma after Pigma supposedly takes down afoni Peppy during their beam sword battle in Corneria's capitol building when Andross's army invades and General Pepper's life is on the line thanks to a virus he contracted during the noir-themed flashback of Pepper undergoing his Virtuous Mission in Sector Z?

It always is.

Hopefully they do a transitional press conference this year.

Yeah, while I enjoyed the E3 Nintendo Direct, I do feel like it'd just be better overall for them to do the traditional press conference. It's not like Nintendo is an outcast at E3 or anything, plus Zelda reveal similar to TP and SS would get to so many more people.

I'd take anything that played remotely like a traditional mario party at this point. I like the wii party series and it does alternative board games well, but mario party shouldn't copy it

Aren't directs usually at 7am PST? Is this the first one at 2pm?

Supposedly, it's because in the UK, you can't show mature stuff before 10PM, so the Direct there had to be at that time and since it's simultaneous, the other had to match, which gives us a Direct at 5PM EST and 2PM PST.

*jaw drops*

If your imagination combined forces with my imagination... We would be a force unlike any the world has ever seen. :-O

Wasn't there a 3DS Mario Party with no online play? What was Nintendo thinking lol

I know what you are talking about. *shudders*
*Neiteio takes a long, slow drag on a cigarette, even though he doesn't smoke*

*His face is locked in a grimace as he squints at some unseen point in the distance... Remembering...*

*alsoeverythingsinblackandwhiteandtheresfilmnoiremusicplaying*

I remember it so clearly...

And every time I take a shower... I still smell...

Like club sandwiches...

Extra mayo... No tomato.

*Neiteio takes another drag on the cigarette, and starts coughing and sputtering*

Nothing wrong with getting hyped so long as people don't throw a big tantrum when the expectations aren't met. This can be a challenge lol.

I expect at least one new game announcement, as is usual with these worldwide NDs.

I don't get people saying "because the last direct/E3 sucked, don't expect anything for future directs/E3s". Unless Nintendo halted all game development, the longer we go without news the closer we are to some games being ready.
