The only "guest" characters in mainline Final Fantasy should be Biggs and Wedge and the name Cid. That's it.

A MC of a mainline FF should never become a "guest character" in future FF titles. That defeats the purpose.

This is the dumbest fucking thing I've read. It's along the same logic as "well people didn't buy Chrono Trigger on DS so clearly nobody wants another Chrono game." I wonder where he's getting his popularity diagnosis from, other than the fact that they've put her in like... what is it, 5-7 Final Fantasy related titles now?

She's popular because her popularity is manufactured. Hell, I don't even have a problem with Lightning! But they're clearly a little too obsessed with their own creation, which is basically just a hot girl that looks like Cloud.
