It's not easy to hold a lock on people with how much movement you have in this game. Which is to say nothing that in a head to head you WILL get outgunned and flattened. It's good for getting the drop on people or for some cool wall running technique while maintaining a lock.
I took it for a whirl and had a lot of fun for the few games I used it, but I do way better with normal weapons. It isn't easy to do well with aside from picking off bots which amounts to little.
Does the radar indicate whether enemies are above or below? Had a hard time figuring this out.

this game is so damn good its ridiculous
gamechanger potential
lol, its a fun game, but its nothing revolutionary.
It is fun, more fun than I thought it was going to be. I think you are just eating the beta, hype, new factor though. I have a bad feeling it is going to get old pretty quick.
I wonder what other unlocks are there...I can see the Titans getting as bad as spamming killstreaks in COD. Overall I like the parkour element.
Yep. I actually enjoy the game much more when I'm not in a titan.
Game seems fun.
Is anyone else getting bad stuttering? It'll be like constant 60 then sometimes when I look around it stutters horribly, really sucks. I have a 4gb gtx770.
This is honestly the common statement I hear from people.Yep. I actually enjoy the game much more when I'm not in a titan.
Yeah, lot's of stuttering. Might be a server (lag) problem?
I was getting very good FPS on tutorial and then once I entered a match stutters everywhere...
hm, just got a "burn card." a one life/match boost, like faster speed and such.
I suspect this is where they plan to make money
This is honestly the common statement I hear from people.
Said it eariler, going forward they are probably going to have to choose which mechanic is more important in their eyes. Especially in maps. Traversal or Mechs. I mean, they can have it both ways but honestly I hope the parkour elements are worked on more.
What is up with the vram usage? It's more than 2gb.
Yep, with insane textures anyway.
That's why people with strong hardware but have 2gb or less VRAM are getting random fps drop offs.
For insane textures it's 3gb or bust.
I've got a 2gb 770 and it works fine, but I can't use Shadowplay, because then it becomes unplayable. I think that's because of the vram usage.
I haven't played it yet so this is just total speculation on my part about something that I haven't tried - anyway, the way it looks like to me is that the pilots are probably going to be the main play method whereas titans should be the one way you can at least destroy stuff without having to worry about dying as a pilot. I see the titan as a second life for a pilot because if the titan goes down, the pilot simply ejects and moves on.
Game is loads of fun - but the gametypes are all geared toward short bursts of chaotic play, and doesn't seem to lend itself to long sessions behind the keyboard. Feels less like an FPS and more like Warhawk but feels more like a really fun timewaster I would play for 30 mins a pop a couple times a week. I'll probably still buy it, but not sure if its worth it.
