The difference is that was an event that divided the community for a short period of time and then a decision was made and it was over. Eventually people moved on and it even resulted in some entertaining things that added to the story after. The anarchy democracy divide is omnipresent and looms over every situation. People on each side are constantly fighting over it and it undermines the ability of the majority to ever work together towards a common goal without in fighting. It created a scishim that won't heal and only served to further sap the fun away by people taking something light and fun and somehow turning it into a metaphor for real life politics.

Democracy is essentially useless at this point because people refer to it as easy mode, but it's still pretty difficult. So when it doesn't work right away people get pissed and want anarchy again. Unless it's a task that's obviously impossible.

OK, this feels a lot like Eevee in that this probably was firs a legitimate idea, tossed out as a joke early in its birth, and somehow gained a silent following that got us to do this.
Secretly this is cool, as ledge x2 (not 2.0 mind you)and Zapdos may be the obstacle to cause drama and excitement again. PC does this also, but we've PC'ed alot already and it loses its thrill unless we were to release Air or Bird Jesus (which is bad because they're my favorites).

One of the worst things about the democracy and anarchy thing is that a lot of people associated anarchy with "not trying to beat the game" even though we were trying to beat the game under the old system. So now you have people going "LOL it doesn't matter if it's a shitty idea, we just want to see what happens!" when nobody would have said that back in Vermillion. :-\
And yeah, I have no idea how Zapdos caught on as anything more than a joke, at best an alternative if we ran from Snorlax and still wanted a "legendary".

I honestly hope we just toss the master ball. This is so stupid, I can't believe we chose not only Zapdos over Snorlax, but the ledge route over Rock Tunnel.

Knowing us, as we see Zapdos's firgure, we'll either
1) Throw master ball, engage, have it wreck all but one pokemon that isnt Bird Jesus, ru with one low health pokemon, and get killed by surf pokemon
OR
2) Keep going left with a weakened party, miss Zapdos, throw master ball after jumping ledge, and get wrecked by surf pokemon

Dont be retarded. Its not about what is most efficient, as seen by our getting eevee and only grinding bird jesus, but about what the collective wants. And the collective wants the masterball to be put to good use.
Deep down, we are all pokemon trainers. We wanna catch them all, and no sane trainer would toss a masterball or use it on a non-legendary.
The Masterball is cursed. Toss it to the winds and let us continue with our quest.
Deep down, it's not fun watching shitheads struggle with the ledge.
That's 35 minutes. each up/downtick on the lines is a 2-minute chunk. The pattern has been pretty consistent over the past few hours. It wasn't as strong earlier in the day.
It's still better than Articuno. At least we don't have to push any rocks here, lol

It's too much like the ring from lord of the rings. I think the collective is doing this just for the in-joke of the ledge, and trying to be crazy. It really wouldn't be that cool if we get across, we already did it once.
That's what I mean. Each data point is only 2 min worth of data. Trying to extrapolate out of that is not something that can be done because it fluctuates way too much.

Except there isn't really fluctuation - the correlation is basically at 100%. If it happened once or twice, sure that's a small data set. When it happens 150 times in a row, it starts to look like a pattern.
It's probably a guy with a bunch of bots flipping them back and forth.

I'm guessing they're gonna get wiped the first time, then run away the second time.
But then we have people like you who actively try to disrupt what we are trying to do. Obviously when we fail you laugh.

It can be done. You guys don't even want to try. That's essentially our entire run, to try to complete the game.
Doesn't matter to me, and I'd buy both. Hell, I'm thinking of importing a couple of the DS ones and even if I do I'd probably buy the others via the eShop, if they ever add DS games as digital downloads (which they won't, because that would make a whole lot of sense and that ain't how Ninty rolls).
