So... is there any way to buy from GMG using prices in dollars instead of British pounds when you're in Europe? Because GBP to PLN conversion is way worse than USD to PLN :/

Been playing RE6 this week. Damn, this game is
fucking awesome!

It's not a horror game in the slightest, but it's basically a CUHRAYZEE third person shooter. After RE5 and the previews for RE6, I don't get why people expected a survival horror game.

WHAT ???
the Xbox 360 version is the same of the Wii version ?
that mean i can see the same effect of the gamecube version ?

There were some effects where it was basically "GameCube, do effect 23 for me" and the GameCube just went "okay".

The Wii still had the same functionality, so it could replicate the same effects.

The 360 version does not because nobody wants to spend money to re-implement GameCube hardware effects.

Currently, the only way you're going to get RE4 in HD+all of the effects without Dolphin is if they bring this to the Wii U, which still supports the GameCube functionality that RE4 used.

It's worth keeping in mind that Dolphin does not offer 60fps though.

So I guess Steam doesn't let you pick what hard drive you want to pre-load on?

From what I've heard you have to use junctions to change preloaded drives.

Personally I'm just going to preloaded to SSD, play, and then move it to my games drive after I'm done for my first play session/card idle.

Drive by answer - nope, it does not from what I have seen.
I haven't preloaded MGR because of this - why would I want to preload it on SSD when I don't need that SSD speed (for that game) and my game collection is on fast HDD?

Nope, but there is a roundabout method:

You can pre-load to another drive by:

- Installing Link Shell Extension
- Moving the depotcache folder (located in the root of the Steam folder) to your desired drive
- Right-clicking on said folder and selecting "Pick link source"
- Navigating to the root of your Steam folder, right-clicking somewhere within the empty space, hovering over "Drop link as" and finally selecting "Symbolic link"

Thanks. I haven't had the option to preload a game since Bioshock Infinite and Metro: Last Light, so I wasn't sure if Valve had changed preloading options since then - guess not.

Nope, but there is a roundabout method:

Thanks, I'll check that out.

Problem is that you can't even use symlinks to fix it. Steam still wants you to have enough space on whichever drive Steam is installed.

On top of that, Steam always unpacks on the same drive, so you need *twice* the size of your download.

To clarify, the data won't unpack where the depotcache folder was moved to; it's just that since Steam doesn't support pre-loading elsewhere natively it'll look to the free space figure reported by the drive it's installed to, but you can get around this quite easily by just cutting and pasting some larger files/folders to a different drive and then moving them back once Steam's done its business.

I've not had any major issues.
I get constant slowdown, therefore sound stuttering during the rainy chapter. Don't know if it's a matter of changing settings because I thought my setup would be able to handle RE4 no problem. i5 2550k @ 4.5 GHz, GTX 770 4GB.

It says on the site that keys won't be made available until the game is released on Steam. I haven't used GMG in a while but is that always strictly the case?

It depends. Sometimes they give it to you before release, sometimes after.

I love GMG, but they can be pretty unpredictable.

Its probably down to when the publishers supply them with keys, every publisher is different and they can't properly account for when they will actually receive them.

Yeah, you're probably right. I didn't think of that.

You should try changing audio to OpenAL and then increasing the buffer size.

Based on. Some things are difficult or impossible to emulate when they rely on specific hardware properties.
... but a simple specular lighting effect cannot be that hard to re-implement for another kind of shaders on a vastly more powerful machine, if they want to.

Got an email from GameFly that the release date was changed to the 27th, so that's good for receiving keys in time at least.

I'm wondering if my Surface Pro 2 will be able to run this. I can run RE5 with high settings and solid framerate. I wonder if anyone can give me some guidance before taking the chance...
