It's over, the video should be up in a few hours.
Direct link? Is is over?
Yeah, recorded that earlier on my XBO:

Giant Bomb wasn't exaggerating with the single digit fps. The game definitely needs some polish. (It's still awesome, tons of fun, everybody should buy it, yadada)
I hope the tearing gets fixed later or at least reduced. I remember that I couldn't play Serious Sam on the first Xbox because of the tearing issue. It was unplayable in the "WTF is going on here? I can't believe they released this to retail!" sense of the word. In some games, it isn't that bad though. But I'm one of those that are sensitive to it and I'd rather play with a slower frame rate than have tearing.

Over the years I've learned Jeff's indifference towards certain games isn't traceable to a reliable list of things he prefers in games. He has some of the weirdest combinations of games he likes and games he feels are ehh that I've seen out of gamers in general.I have to say, I was surprised at how dower Jeff Gerstmann's outlook was on Titanfall. Not only was he getting bored already, but he didn't even think it stood a strong chance of moving a lot of Xbox Ones (Though they did add the caveat about the number of people that would be getting the game for free). I don't think Titanfall looks like anything special, but even I think that based on advertising momentum alone it's going to make a dent.
I hope the PC version isn't like this.

He was NEVER really big on any of the Call of Duty games.
I'm not surprised in his disinterest.
His entire CoD4 & MW2 reviews can be summed up as "it's a 4 hour fps".
I had real bad hangs during titan sequences last night. I'd get into a titan, stomp around, and things were OK. But the minute I got close to an enemy titan the frame rate would plummet and then the game would completely hang for 3 or 4 seconds at a time.
I played one quick round this morning and didn't have that problem. We'll see how it goes tonight.

I'm finding that of FPS is tanking I need to reboot. I reboot and everything is fine. I can't explain that.

This is bullshit. He's played every CoD and thinks Modern Warfare is one of the best games on last generation.
Absolutely untrue.
This is not true at ALL

The only real catch is that the single-player is almost shockingly short. If you've been keeping up with this style of game, you'll probably shoot your way to the credits in under five hours. While you can raise the difficulty to give yourself more of a challenge, the main thing this does is make the enemies frustratingly deadly, which sort of detracts from the fun.
It's a shame that the single-player is so brief, but you should only skip out on Call of Duty 4 if you're the sort of person who doesn't appreciate great first-person shooter multiplayer. The quality of the content in the campaign is totally top-shelf, and the multiplayer is some of the best around, making this a truly superb package.
It'll probably take most players somewhere around five hours to get through Modern Warfare 2 on its default difficulty setting.
Since it's building on such a strong framework, it might be hard to go completely nuts over the release of Modern Warfare 2. But if you've played a significant amount of Infinity Ward's last game, the improvements are numerous and they are supremely satisfying. If you've ever been interested in a first-person shooter, buy this game.
Nothing beats people rushing in to say they haven't experienced anything like that.
Reminds me of BF4 issue deniers.
For what it's worth, I actually didn't have any real problems with BF4 but I would never suggest it wasn't completely broken for a huge number of players.
This is demonstrably false. I can't think of anyone else in the games enthusiast press that like CoD (or historically, have liked CoD) more than Jeff.He was NEVER really big on any of the Call of Duty games.

To me, the big issue (other than the X1's ugly look and terrible performance) is that the game gets boring pretty quick. There isn't enough content to justify the $60 and it just feels so barebones. Respawn only had two platforms to worry about and had years to make the game so it's disappointing to see that this is what they delivered.
I put 10 hours into it and I think that's as far as I'll go. I'm going to ask for a refund

It's one of the perks of buying digital on Origin. It's standardized too.
Game might be fun enough that people don't care about the dips/tearing/textures.

What kind of fuckery is this? Jeff is a big COD fan, has been since first Modern Warfare game. He was also very excited for this game. Watch their PAX panel. He was NEVER really big on any of the Call of Duty games.

Dips get in the way,i can see the texture/tearing part but dips is unavoidable.
Fixed
Answered your own question with the fix...heheh
Those framerate drops look like a glitch, bug, hiccup somewhere. Dig through that code Respawn, you have an amazing game. Smooth out those kinks.
interesting, just read the origin return policy.
it's still comical though.
didn't you play syphon filter? that game was hella fun. and that framerate was shit.
I have standards now. I was a kid back then.
What? How? You opened a game played it, and got a full refund because you were disappointed?!?!What do you mean? I just got one.
What's funny?
