The weak raps or the whole incident? I just came in to read the drama thinking that it was actually going to be interesting. My guess is that he probably hasn't even bothered to think twice about the incident over Facebook(sorry I said twitter first).

It's a shame the OP seems to have lost some money but don't send money to anyone without some sort of legal agreement.

IANAL but I think there is grounds that there was a binding contract and that this person wilfully broke that contract. What makes it ridiculous is that he could have simply done a shitty job recording the lines on his phone ( assuming he can afford a modern one), sent the file and be done with it.

The whole thing and what it's turned into, I'm loving this. Well from the Facebook messages between the two of them he has proof that a verbal contract existed. So it would actually hold up if he took legal action. And awesome job Ryan.

Of course, it depends on OP's State Law, but from my understanding of the hypothetical, OP has written negotiations with VA via Facebook, where both OP and VA agreed to a set price for the voicework. There was both an offer and an acceptance. In addition, there was consideration, which is the $100 bucks to VA and the voice work to OP. It's a basic contract, but once again, this all depends on OP's state law.
