bitmap books is dead to me now

Just make a good book and shut the fuck up.
every book should come with an accompanying book that details the life of the author, publishing company, both of their financials, parents/lineage, historical political affiliations, taste in music, social media posts, etc.

after reading that book, ill be informed enough to know if its ok to read the first book

Money goes to charity with author's agreement, seems good to me. That's what he gets for being a classic Sega hater, wouldn't trust books with such obvious biases on the author's part anyway but hey, those who just look to reinforce their own will at least contribute to a good cause too now :)

They have that already, it's called the Steam Curator Page.

Sorry, what part of what he tweeted makes him a racist?
racism
/ˈreɪsɪz(ə)m/
noun

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

///
I dunno what to say dudes, you seem to be all ignorant about this basic word. His tweet is racist, he admited it, apologized for it, his publisher admited it and apologized for it.
Defending bad behavior is not the best fight to have.

I must have read a different tweet.

This definition is extremely flawed. Racism is discrimination by race, manifestated through skin color. Period.

Adding social perspective is wrong because it implies than there are privileged classes by skin color or that the allegedly discriminated ones can't be racist. We know for a fact that is wrong. Cheapest propaganda possible.

Before calling people ignorant, try using your brains a little bit. It doesnt hurt.

I can't say I agree.

This is the sort of approach that that ignores context and shades of grey, focusing only on black and white. And that is a bloody broad definition. It's that sort of definition and application of same that if anything takes away from actual racism by watering down the term. That's why people are pushing back against what you're saying.

Say something about the English drinking tea and eating crumpets? Racist. French eating snails? Racist. Brazil having a well known fondness for 30 year old Sega consoles? Racist. I could go on, naming harmless things about dozens of different countries.

Ask yourself this: is that stereotype actually harmful to anyone? The person that brought it up wasn't offended, he admittedly only did it to mess with the guy because he doesn't like him. The book author apologised because he was about to lose income and compensation for his work. He swallowed his pride and said what he needed to say to placate those who would cause the situation to get any worse. The more recent tweets being a reversal of the entire situation are testament to that.

Nothing racist about his tweet. He said a "bad word" according to the speech police and got pulled over by officer Karen.

And you never apologize to these control-freak ideologues. I thought people had learned that.
