Whoooa. Looks pretty promising. I really hope Kawai doesn't phone this one in. With his TV soundtracks it's a crapshoot sometimes. I hope Tachibana brings the experience he had on Giovanni's Island onto this show. Should be interesting.

Well that whole first half was a load of garbage. Second half was somewhat better now that I realized that technically the final battle didn't actually start yet. Guess it's all going to be in the last episode.
I don't see how we're going to get a satisfying conclusion out of this in just 20 more minutes.

What kind of monster would I be to hold Toradora against Clannad After Story. That wouldn't be right. Ones a RomCom while the other is a SoL/Drama/Romanic series.

Understandable for marathoning but prrsonally there are just some OP/EDs I just cant skip. At the moment Full Metal Panic is one ED I just cant skip.

This episode was kinda a mess. First there was Clef's last message as his powers are weakening and pleads for them to save Cephiro one last time, but just as he's running out of energy he decides that this was the time to tell them their "true enemy". And needess to say it cuts out just as he's about to say it. I don't know what the hell he means, though I guess it means there's someone higher than Zagato, but it's obviously not important, since he sure wasn't in any hurry to tell them. Or it's vitally important and he's just an idiot.
Then there's that part where it's all "Oh by the way, Ferio is Emeraude's younger brother". He requested to have his memories erased because for some reason he was going to live off on his own.
And then what's-his-name attains his final form and then there's no hope for them to defeat him. Unless of course they attack the gem on his forehead. It's always the gem on the forehead. How was that not, like, the first idea that came into their heads?

It's my favorite anime of all time, but other, less biased people will tell you it's still a pretty darn good mecha anime.
Certain charlatans will tell you only Fumoffu is good, but listening to such heathen blasphemy is not an advisable course.

This anime. It's like somebody wrote a story in creative writing back in high school.
"Great story Estifenking-kun!"
"Oh senpai, you should make this into a manga desu neee" they said.
Go 10 years into the future. He can't make next month's rent. He starts digging around the closet to find stuff he can sell at a pawn shop so he won't have to sell his body. Then he finds the box with all his high school memories.
Why I forgot about this story I wrote back in high school. It was the talk of the class for a whole 3 days. I even got two gold stars and a whale sticker. Maybe.. it's time
So he sat down to read it again. You would think that reading a story you wrote back in high school would make you realize that shit, maybe you weren't as much of a writer as you thought you were. But not him. Oh no, he saw it as genius. But a flawed one at that.
Hmmm I seem to have issues with the logic of the curse. Maybe I should fix it and give thorough explanations so people can suspend their disbelief
But then he heard a voice.
Oh. Estifenking-kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun
Wh-who's that?
Why Estifenking-kun it's your old buddy. Heineken-chan
Heineken-chan I can't deal with you right now. I gotta fix this story. Maybe I could make one of the better horror stories in anime
But Estifenking-kun why do that? You could always drink me. Taste my delicious flavor and forget your worries. The story is perfect as is. In fact you should add more deaths. They'll be super sweet you guys, and people will totally take the work seriously
And so he grabbed Heineken-kun and sent the story as is.

Time for the beach episode! sorta. We get the girls talking about relationship troubles and worries in this episode. I enjoyed it and I also didn't understand Banri not going in for the kiss. Guess the Linda thing still haunts him. Kind of figured Yana would end up with her after that party though.
Also Oka had some of the best lines in this episode except for two faults:
1) Damn it Oka, if Koko wants to wear a Latin American inspired swimsuit to please her boyfriend you let her damn you. Fuck that this is Japan bullshit.
2) OHGODNO.gif, school swimsuits are NOT better than bikinis. Jesus stop with this shit Japan.
Other than that her come at me like a wild wildebeast was amazing. Oka is surprising well versed in the erotics, much more than her innocent personality and voice let on.
I totally could see Banri wearing that speedo too. I'm sure it'll happen eventually.
