To describe me as a beginner when it comes to website would be an understatement. But I do want to create one. Say I do create one, if I were to later want to hire a website developer to make it better, would he be able to convert my basic website into something great, without negatively affecting it?

Hey in movies and shows when they have the credits sometimes they show the casts names then do a "with" then some other actor.

Why do they do this? I think I heard it had something to do with the contract but dunno if that's true.

You'd get a better answer in the tv show cancellation thread but,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billing_(filmmaking)#Main_billing

An actor may receive "last billing", which usually designates a smaller role played by a famous name. They are usually credited after the rest of the lead cast, prefixed with "and" (or also "with" if there is more than one, as Samuel L. Jackson was in the latter two Star Wars prequels). In some cases, the name is followed by "as" and then the name of the character (sometimes called an "and-as" credit).

http://billing-block.com/last-billing.html

Last billing is in fact one of most respected credit positions on the billing block, along with top billing, and is reserved for a high value, usually big name actor either as a guest role in a tv appearance or non-lead role in a movie.

The actor is given final credit by being listed last on the billing block and having a “with” or “and” prefix to emphasise their name.

As legend has it, the idea behind Last Billing was conceptualised by Douglas Fairbanks Jr in 1937 during his portrayal of Rupert of Hentzau in The Prisoner of Zenda. He claims in his autobiography that he was unhappy with the billing order so instead of fighting for a position at the top of the billing block he requested to be billed right at the end with an “and” prefix attached to his name and sure enough he was.

Question for those of you who've watched Breaking Bad:

In season 3 there's an episode called "Fly" where apparently the whole plot is Walt and Jesse getting plagued by a fly. I have a severe phobia of insects so if anyone can tell me how much it buzzes or flies by someone's head really fast, that would be great. I'm not sure I can watch it.

A fly enters where they are cooking meth, Walter claims they have to get rid of it, as it is an impurity in the lab, they can't cook until it's gone. The fly is mostly just a noise, but there are one or two close ups of it.

Wasn't that Fly episode the result of some kind of internal production turmoil??

According to creator Vince Gilligan, this was a "bottle episode." Because the season was already "hopelessly over budget," it became necessary to create an episode with minimal production costs. By filming in one location and using the fewest number of actors in the series to date, "Fly" cost substantially less than the average episode.

Why in the world do the Youtube playlists go from newest to oldest? And is there a way to reverse the order?

1. People are probably more likely to want to watch things they have favourited more recently.

2. No, because Google are idiots when it comes to YouTube. You can create a playlist and under settings untick 'Add new videos to Top of list' or something but there is no way to make it retroactive.

My lap top won't turn on. I can plug it in and the battery lights and AC adaptor lights turn on but the system won't boot (no screen, no fan, no sound, nothing). Last thing i did with it was play RE4 on it and i have a decent GPU: radeon 7970. But it was getting hot during gaming. Makes me think it's a motherboard or something. I tried pulling the battery and just plugging it in: nothing.

Past warranty but is replacing a motherboard complex? Got it from xoticpc but it's a sager. Could a local shop do it or should I send it in for repair. Reliable repair is my highest priority.

What does it mean when a DVD uses a "high-definition master"? I know that DVDs are only 480p, so it's not going to be in HD, but is there any quality difference between a DVD that uses a "high-definition master" vs one that doesn't?

I bought a Nook HD+ rooted to run Android (Kitkat 4.4). How do I get files (eBooks, mp3s, movies/tv shows) from my computer to my Android tablet? Basically, how do I do what iTunes does for Apple devices?

I've started using the Amazon Prime app on PS3 but I'm having an issue figuring out how to continuously play TV episodes after one finishes. Is there anyway where you can make it switch to the next episode automatically instead of manually doing it yourself?

It's easily the worst episode of the series and you can skip it without worrying about missing anything.

It's an amazing episode (very possibly the best in the series) and there -is- some buzzing. You might do well to avoid it, because although you'll miss the best shoegazing and character reflection in the series, the plot is hardly advanced.

Why is the exchange rate between a US Dollar and South Korean Won so large?

I think roughly it's 1000 won = 1 dollar.

I've been thinking of upgrading my PC from Windows 7 Pro to 8.1, but I don't want to have to re install all my programs/re-download all my games. Is the best way to go about this to find a copy of Windows 8, upgrade to that, then download the free 8.1 update? Will I lose any data during the process? My only previous experience with OS upgrades was on Mac (Leopard>Snow Leopard etc), would this process be functionally similar?

Manually. The amazon prime ui is shit.

I'm trying to buy a camcorder that's going to be used for work. My boss wants me to do some research in getting a really good one to record videos for our company which primarily deals with vaporizers and grinders. Since we're a wholesaler we need to have reviews and other videos to show what we have to offer.

Do you guys have any suggestions? I'd like something that is going to be future proof, less than $1000, and that can do the job that is needed.

So far I've only looked at this:

The Price is great especially with the discount, but your thoughts?

Why did the Thing blow its cover in the helicopter in the prequel? It could've escaped if it had just stayed human until they landed.

I'm not sure but I thing it's is because the ending is set in stone with the Thing dog running off to MacReady and company.

As a little tidbit the Thing video game is considered the official sequel by Carpenter confirms that MacReady lives after the end.

That samsung is an "ok" camera ... for something work related i'd go for a

Consumer Grade either Sony HDR-TD30V or a Canon VIXIA (HF G20)

Pro Grade i'd say a Sony DCR-SD1000E or the Panasonic HDC-MDH1

I'm gonna post this here, before I make a thread, to see if I can get help. I am doing an Italian opera. There is no english translation of the libretto online, at least that I can find. I need help with the translation. It is not too long, and I can PM any Italian speakers the text so they can get it back to me ASAP. I have to have this learned this week, so the sooner the better!

Does anyone know why my Firefox browser constantly crashes to the desktop?

Whenever I have any amount of tabs open, boom, they're all gone!

Here's a pic of what pops up afterward:

What are some GOOD alternatives?

I'm interested in seeing Requiem for a Dream, but I keep hearing about some disturbing "ass to ass" scene. What is that all about really?

It's hard to describe it without spoiling part of the movie for you. It's more disturbing on an emotional level than a graphic level. It's used to show the level of depravity an addict is willing to go to. The whole movie is going to suckerpunch your emotions and I don't think that scene in particular should be the tipping point. If you are fine getting through the movie up to that point, you should have no problems getting past it.

Does anyone know if you can make a living off of playing video games, and if so, how?
You could become:
• a playtester.
• a YouTube celebrity.
• a game reviewer.

That being said, I suggest you focus on getting a career in a different field and play video games on your free time.

Why did the Thing blow its cover in the helicopter in the prequel? It could've escaped if it had just stayed human until they landed.

It knew its cover was about to be blown because the woman was flagging the helicopter down and the pilot was considering landing. This way it can take out the ones in the helicopter and crash. Which gives the other survivors doubt about the pilots being human when they make it back to the base later in the film.

I'm running windows 8.1 and a setting keeps getting reverted for no apparent reason. It's the performance options setting "Show window contents while dragging." It works as intended for a while after I turn it on, but then my windows change back to only showing the window outline while dragging. Sometimes when I go to the performance options page to turn it back on the box is unchecked, but sometimes the box is still checked and I need to reapply the settings to make it work correctly. Any ideas how to fix this?

YouTube question:

Does anyone know how to unlink YouTube channels from a Google account?

Apparently I have three different channels linked to my Google account but I only want one. How do I unlink the other channels?

Aha, I see. I thought it would be like a scene à la Salo or whatever. Well, I'll think about seeing the movie. Thanks for clearing some things up!

Anybody else having trouble with the ads here? I'm seeing two issues.

One is where the ad takes over all of the links on the page. When you click on something it tries to launch the ad (which gives an error page). I can tell when it's happening because it messes with the CSS and makes all of the text larger than normal. One of the ad links: http://rtb.strikead.com/bid_click/o...fF3IeG/forumdisplay.php?f=3&page=4&order=desc

The other is when the ad fails to load properly and causing Chrome (iOS) to think the whole page couldn't be loaded. I don't know which ad causes this, I think it says blue somewhere in the URL, but that's all that can be read from the Chrome tab.

Edit: and the second one just happened again. It said strikead.bluec<something>

According to Speedtest.net, I'm usually getting between 15 and 20 megabits per second download speed over wifi, is that fast enough to stream stuff like Netflix or Hulu or Crunchyroll at all?

My girlfriend and I are having a competition to who can find a movie. We can't remember name of it based off of a trailer.

A horror/thriller movie. Released last few years. Woman and man go on date. Woman takes man to cottage or just her house maybe, meets her kids? He isn't allowed to leave, or something. They pretty much creepily kidnap him, make him be the kids father. I don't know.

It was in English. She just informed me she originally saw it on a shelf in Family Video about a year ago. No clue on the actors. We're trying to find it based off of a random trailer we watched (literally a year ago) after she'd seen it on shelves. So our memory is awful. It looked like a creepy kind-of horror (maybe?) flick. There couldn't be much of a body count to it, as the trailer seemed like it was just this woman, the dude, and the two kids.

We've found films with less information. Typical problems include diluting memories. It's not a revenge flick by any chance? :P
Sorry! I forgot I asked this, and just tonight we were talking about it again. It did not seem like a revenge flick. We have more info now we believe (from another friend who remembers seeing it advertised in Family Video). Friend claims the mother takes the guy home to meet the kids, and it all takes place in a short span of time where they keep going through Holidays? Like, the mother is seeing how the guy does as a father for the kids through all these holiday scenarios? I dunno. I sound dumb describing it.
