What would the story/tone of a Marvel Black Panther film be?

Black Panther's origin story if done right should be a revenge + political struggle story. His father, the current king of Wakanda, should be introduced in the story and killed early. btw, Wakanda should be a technological advanced city; it can be a huge thing in the cinematic universe. His first and i guess technically his arch enemy is ulysses klaw a scientist who has found a way to turn sound into a weapon and killed his father.

You can add him in to further the AIM story and add some main characters to the group. i'm not sure if they should do the "get his power from a fruit" or just have him be a highly trained human or maybe just a natural born meta-human.
Anyways the film should focus on Black Panther looking for Klaw for killing his father because Klaw wants the vibranium that they are the only ones in the world with. i think they should add his step-brother White Wolf

that betrays the city and joins Klaw in order to try to take over the city.

i like the tone of bond + political thriller because the character black panther is motivated by Wakanda and will do what ever is necessary to protect/save it whether it is teaming with the Avengers or banishing his own brother.

a lot of his villains are.... very minor in the Marvel universe or are not his original villain.

I was thinking something along these exact same lines. The man who would become Klaw would be this super-successful, ultra rich buisnessman/scientist who REALLY wants to do good for the world. He knows about the properties of Vibranium and that Wakanda is the only source for it. He's been trying to diplomatically, scientifically, use everything he can to get Wakanda to "do what's right for humanity." As we all know, Wakanda is like "fuck that." With every rebuke he gets more and more pissed. Like I said earlier, super duper rich people aren't used to being told no. Add to the fact that he is honestly doing this for the best of intentions, is just stirring his anger more and more. Eventually, he decides, he's just gonna invade and take it. History will prove him right after all.

Meanwhile, this is also a coming of age story for T'Challa. He is at the age where it is time for him to take the Trials to officially become the next BP when King T'Chaka dies. Unlike most coming of age stories, T'Challa knows about this responsibility and treats it with the respect that someone should. Being crowned BP is his birthright. He has trained his whole life to be BP. He STILL has to earn it. And he accepts this gladly cause his momma raised him right.

That is pretty much the origin of Klaw and Black Panther.

Probably Wakanda should be portrayed as primitive and superstitious, but they have a prophecy about this one dude who will come and save them. Enter government agent Everett Ross (Ryan Reynolds), sent to Wakanda in pursuit of a terrorist cell plotting to use vibranium for some shit or other. Forced to rely on the simple tribal folk for assistance, he comes to appreciate their culture and their connection to the earth and nature. He uses what he has learned from them, what they call the way of the panther, to defeat and capture the terrorists. In the end, he takes up the ceremonial garb and title given him by these primitive people, and becomes... the Black Panther!
Have Mel Gibson direct it and the GAF racist would eat it up.

I'd want them to fully realize Wakanda and make it as awesome as possible. They did a good job with Asgard, I think they can pull off Wakanda. Have Wakanda & its history & its culture be the heart of the movie, everything else relates to it. There's plenty they could do with SHIELD/Avengers either needing to go to Wakanda for some reason, or for some huge global/Africa-specific threat that brings the Black Panther and Wakanda out of its isolationist hiding in order to stop it. In the midst of that have T'Challa training to become the next king/protecting Wakanda/saving the world and forging some kind of alliance with SHIELD/Avengers.

oh yea. absolutely a coming of age story is something that should be told for BP. I like the Klaw story also because it can show how seclusive they were when his dad was in charge and it can tell a story of them opening up when T'Challa takes over.

Elba already is Heimdall.
Michael B Jordan is far too young.
What other bankable black star could they use on a multi-million dollar project?
Wesley Snipes? Blade.
Eddie Murphy? Dude's past 50.
Terry Crewes?

Face it, it's Will Smith.

Yo why are you guys sleeping on Djimon Hounsou? Dude would be perfect for this role.

Well.....

Not gonna spoil ya, but you need to watch The Winter Soldier ASAP.

I want to punch you so fucking hard right now.

Black Panther should be introduced with Namor. Have Wakanda and Atlantis go to war. Cap comes in and breaks up the feud. In Avengers 3, Namor would still be pissed at them both and start sucking on Thanos' dick for him to send troops to Wakanda. It obviously doesn't work out and the Guardians would arrive with the Imperial Guard to clean house.

You're welcome, Marvel!

Even though I stole elements from Infinity.

I always thought that the Christopher Priest run would be a perfect way to do it as a movie Gives the audience a perspective character and lets the Panther be a badass.

Though I've been wanting him for a potential Green Lantern reboot, Chadwick Boseman needs to play Black Panther.

I think that they really need to spend money on this property. Black Panther is probably one of the most well known original non-white superheroes. Cannot half-ass it.

I don't see why this couldn't be a revenge film. Black Panther's father is assassinated/overthrown in a power play by someone inside the country and outside corporate/international interests who want vibranium. He must bring them to justice, and he becomes exposed to the outside world through his quest for revenge. Once he's brought everyone to justice, he assumes the leadership of Wakanda and decides to seek allies to prevent his country from being exploited again.

Stay away from the mysticism and lean heavily on the more realistic resource exploitation of Africa by global interests.

This seems simple and grounded enough to work in the MCU.

I know nothing about this character, but due to the political connotations the name brings to my, and I'm sure less racially sensitive minds, I would hope they introduce him in an Avengers or two and carve out an actual identity separate from the one in my head.

hes a pretty awesome character when certain writers arent dicking around with him. and has nothing to do with the black panthers.

Adventure. Ala Zorro with Banderas. Action, humor and a taste of wonder. The movie will live or die on whether they make Wakanda an interesting setting or just a backtrop.

I wonder if marvel will dare to show the massive xenophobic tendencies of all wakandans. Or their superiority complex. Or BP being more prep ready than Batman.

Cast Denzel as the villain and call it a day. Hollywood!
