Wolf's Rain is probably the best ending in a BONES original series. RahXephon is pretty great too. The ending isn't as well executed as Wolf's Rain, but it's still probably my second favorite anime series ever. Eureka Seven has a pretty great ending too. Good thing they never made a sequel or a movie or anything like that. Whew.

Star Driver's ending isn't awful, but it's just not particularly memorable, other than all the amazing mecha animation in the final episode.

Sounds like you don't know how hard it is to love two boys at once.

Apparently everyone's favorite anime studio TRIGGER is making the anime adaptation for NINJA SLAYER. Erm. Yeah. I hope it's like Inferno Cop. :p
You guys will like it

Wow, this is so blantantly perverted and I can hardly believe that's the design they chose that design for the mech. It looks like it was designed by a five-year old. It's fun but this certainly isn't a quality anime. Very cheesy

The Light of El Cantare
It's like one boy loving two girls at once. Won't somebody think of the harem protagonists, reverse or not?

If pressed on the issue, I couldn't decide between Takuto and Sugata. They make good breakfast companions, and why ruin that?

The hell? What? What???

I dropped the show after that Quinn character came in. What?

Also, apparently
they spent most of the last season on Barney and Robin's wedding, and then they just got divorced in the last episode.

But I only saw the last 10 minutes, just going by what I've heard here.

Mahouka 1

Despite the horrendous looking key art shown off a few weeks ago, this is actually a very slick looking anime. The school clothes are kind dumb looking but regular wear and environments are pretty. MC is kind of a badass too. He's very calm and analytical which is a nice change of pace from the hot headed impulsive/whiny characters we usually get in these type of shows. The action is pretty well done so far and kind of cool to watch actually.

You mean the part where all the girls basically have bridal gauze from a wedding dress built into their uniforms? It's part of the very subtle visual language of the show which hints that they're all brides in the MC's harem.

Though the problem with that is it's not a harem.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Toradora Episode 16
Episode had it all, at first kitamura did handle this like a bitch, but the episode handled it afterwards well enough

And the way they're loose like muumuus so that they can also use them as pregnancy wear.

Very forward thinking, those uniform designers.

You should watch Sora no Woto.

Yeah I'm not completely writing the show off, unlike Shard, but I feel that watching such an episode requires a strong outpouring of critique on what a total dickbag Matsutaro is. Clearly we're not meant to like him at this point, but the escalation of his douchery is really something to behold. I can't say I've seen something like this in quite a while, where you're faced with a guy so selfish, unmotivated, bullheaded, and irresponsible. And you get all of his worst qualities hammered at you with one set piece after another. It's really amazing.

I think the intentions of the narrative are clear, but after the extremes of the introductory episode, I'm not at all prepared to just laugh his flaws off and see him get easy redemption. It's going to take some hard doses of reality in his face to convince me that such a person can really change for the better.

Yea, I can see that angle taking place but as you mention Matsutaro is just too big of a dickbag to want to see his tale of redemption if it exists.

I now have several Japanese otaku who follow me on twitter to practice their English skills on me. It's weird, but kind of gratifying.

Who's going to make the OT and save us?

This would be where kayos steps in and saves us but we've shunned him to the point he's turned villain.

I guess any one of us could make an "Mahouka stuff goes here and nowhere else" OT but conservation of energy and all that.

I mean that could work, but the Stupid Questions about Gaming thread hasn't been stopping dumb threads that didn't need a thread.

So we're still doomed.

It's bound to go somewhere.

Well just let me hope a little... okay AnimeGAF?

Do the the other girls like the MC? They seemed pretty impartial to him.

But yeah.... that.

Summer is too far away. I need Kirito-sama beside me now!

To have an anime get duckroll to say the above (even sarcastically) it must be something special. :p

Mahouka isn't even uniquely bad or all that note-worthy. It's just high profile enough that people who don't usually watch this sort of crap watch it and complain. There are probably half a dozen or more worse shows airing this season alone. Hopefully people will just drop and not talk about it all year.
