This is the least original villain design possibly ever. The only thing less original are his motivations.

Of course, the constantly-sexualized ten-year-old has to get drenched with sticky white stuff for no reason.

Really? They're the curse bestowed by Gastrea? I'd think that curse would be the virus that turns people into gigantic bug zombies that brutally attack others. The giant bug zombies so devastating that humanity has to live behind giant fifty-meter tallwallsmonoliths of Unobtainium.
Black Bullet 1
I have a friend who wanted me to watch this, and while it's not bad enough for me to be angry at him, it's pretty damn bad. The CG is actually the least of this show's problems.
Why was he there (I have some ideas, but still)? Didn't he have a gun? Didn't the protagonist have a gun drawn when he entered the room? Why did they both use their guns on anyone but each other? In fact, how did the protag go from having two hands on his gun to being in a bare-handed fistfight anyway?
At least the fight was pretty animated.
Naturally, the key tool to fight the evil Gastrea are girls (they must be girls because...) born from mothers infected with the virus (which is implied to kill in an incredibly short amount of time, so...). So the protagonist has to fight alongside a ten-year-old girl who wants to fuck him all the time. I mean, it's in the plot.
Black Bullet's first episode runs into every bad exposition cliche in the book, from "It's been almost [span of time] since [important event in our lives]" to "I should tell you basic facts about the job you were presumably trained to do ages ago" to "I'm going to tell this random bystander exactly why things are happening even though the details are completely irrelevant to them". And then they run out of time, so they cut the ED to end the episode with a last minute "Now's the perfect time to reflect on the history of our world." It's lazy as hell. The only parts that they kind of did justice to were the lead-in to the lead doing his job, giving us reasons to explain basic rules because people were violating them, and the little girl's deal with the shot and going to school, which they explain by just showing us things and not telling us them in detail (until they basically tell us all the details immediately afterward, so I guess that didn't last long).
There isn't a single original or interesting concept in the entire setup, and the execution is lazy. Unless you're the kind of person who watches anything with a cute little girl in it, I can't imagine why you'd waste your time with this show.

Soul Eater Not 1
Also I have to say Japanese Maka is AWFUL compared to the English version. If she was worse in the original SE I can understand why people who watched the sub probably didn't like it as much.
First rule of anime culture: Under no circumstances is a dub superior to a sub. Based on principal alone.
Also people who watched the sub didn't like it because the story was shit.

FukuJun is the only Lelouch that I'd accept.. dude put his whole career into that role. Not true. Johnny Young Bosch as Lelouch in Code Geass was a big reason why I liked it so much. He pulls off his attitude so well.

You forgot to mention that the whole sequence is pretty much dropped after that scene. The MC has no reaction to dealing with a guy, who could have seemingly killed him pretty easily. It's just a scene that happens and then promptly dropped.
Well that's true for the entire episode in that it felt like a bunch of disconnected scenes.
Attack on Titan 1 - 14
God, Mikasa is ridiculously cute. Her waifu level is way over 9000.

Yeah, you'd think he'd mention it to literally anyone else.
To get our minds off of that horrible SAO news, have this. It was in the Kill la Kill OT. Not sure if it was posted here though.
What if Kill la Kill was dubbed by 4Kids?
It's intentionally cringe-worthy, and hilariously spot on.

You guys description of bad anime/episode is always more intriguing than the supposed good ones, godammit...
bbrrrb gotta get me some ice cream now.
I liked this much better than I thought I would. The CG had its problems. I still don't like some of the characters movements while they are doing mundane activities and the shading/colouring for them is all sorts of wrong. However, from what we have seen from the action scenes, the aliens, and all the displays for the robots and space ships, they all look pretty great. The real test will be next episode when the actual battle begins so I'm looking forward to that.
And Golden Boy.

Lol no way! I've only seen the sub but I refuse to believe something that japanese could translate well.

Everyone knows it's easier to write an amusing review of something bad than a review of something good, for a lot of reasons. For example, you can't really write praise that makes someone laugh, but criticism and and mockery are frequently funny. Also, explaining why something doesn't work for you is easy, because it usually jumps out. But when something works well, everything feels like a well-oiled machine working together, so it's harder to point to how specific elements elevate things over what they could have been.
I'll try to write a positive review for something else that's as detailed as this negative one, but I can't guarantee that it'll be as intriguing.
It pains me greatly that you could be ignorant to the wonders of the Golden Boy dub.
Here's a small taste.
What the hell?
Guys, girls, Gaffers, anime is not a medium. It's a genre. It's like saying horror movies are a medium. They're a genre of the film medium.
But I see that this argument is going in circles in this thread, so I'm assuming there's no talking sense into you...
