Whether that blog is satire or real (it's really hard to tell with these types), I still think it's important that children should be taught about consent and healthy relationships while at school. It would among other things result in less of these so called "nice guys" who aren't actually nice people but rather bitter, entitled man children with no self-awareness and a lot of misogyny.

yes. there are about 7-8 of 'em total and I took two of them out before they dated any of my buddies. one date was to a standup comedy show which she didn't seem all that into and that kind of ended the night in itself...but I enjoyed it. the other was a dinner/jazz concert which went pretty great but the end of the date was kind of weird.

regardless, I didn't care that nothing happened past that - both dates were a lot of fun. It's just funny how it comes back around after you're no longer interested.

two girls we hang around both have boyfriends and they constantly cheat on 'em. I used to want both of 'em pretty badly back in college and I feel like I dodged a bullet there. one of 'em likes me now and I'm pretty sure the other hates me.

as a bonus story - there was one other girl that I'll call "K" that I had a big time crush on. my buddy got to her first and their relationship lasted about a year before he broke up with her. he thought she was dumb and he no longer wanted to date her. I told "K" I was interested a bit after they broke up and she said it'd be weird to date another one of our friends. she proceeded to mess around with a couple of the dudes I knew over a 2 year span, and then shortly after that time frame her friend told me that "K" liked me. I told her friend I wasn't interested, and "K" moved on to date this cart pusher at a retail job. they've been together for a couple years now and you can tell both sides aren't content. that "turned my life around" comment mainly came from this chick
 
I have a bad feeling I'm never going to hear the end of "pls respond" in girl-age threads.
 
despite this reading like a power fantasy, there is some truth to the idea that women who keep on "not settling" end up frantic in their early 30s. it's called "baby crazy"

that's because they need to learn to go use the dating thread like everyone else instead of making their own big, dramatic, stupid thread about screwing up on asking for a date. (assuming the recent dating threads aren't troll threads)

Everyone somesome mentions Bonobos, I get really excited because I think a new Bonobo album is out. It's been a rough couple of days.
 
I don't understand what is wrong with the story. It seems to be the meeting of a perfect match: an asshole on both sides, both ending up miserable. Isn't that the way it is supposed to happen?

Not really relevant, but I will say that the "hot" girls from my high school that everyone chased after (the 3 that stood out the most) are all single moms in their mid-20s with kids from multiple fathers.

Just sayin.

Exactly. Being the provider guy for girls in their thirties is the fedora's bread and butter. They might have to take a woman out ten times before they get laid but what else are they going to do?
 
These nice guys actually would make awesome husbands/dads, but these "nice" traits make them seem like door mats in the western world. They can find a good women from other cultures like Asian/African women who appreciate them (not only the financial stability).
 
People just going after the wrong people.

Guys, let's be honest. You know when a girl has her stuff together and is looking for a good guy who has his stuff together. That is not the girl these "nice guys" try to get. They try to get the cute girl, that's all.

And we all know the common Lady pitfall. It's the "fixer upper guy". You know the guy that they are attracted too but think they can change him into something else, yea that goes well.

Eh. Most of the honeys from my high school grew up, went to college, got married pretty well straight out. Age took effect on some, but not most. This is what happens when time goes on.

I'm sure there are lots of not "hot" girls that are in exactly the same situation.
