Aside from being 30fps and the game having the occasional spelling error in the dialogue/text, it's not really a bad port IMO. It's not as good as a remaster as something like KH 1.5 Remix, but it's not nearly as bad as lets say ZOE2 pre-patch or the Silent Hill HD Collection.

I'm getting real close to buying a US PSN+ sub and making it my secondary account. Not being able to share discounts between Vita/PS4/PS3 is really starting to get to me.

Hmmmm. Is that "fast" setting also on PS3? Does it also halve load times? I've always wanted to play through Chrono Trigger and the price would be right.

I mentioned it a few pages back, but for the sale price, it's worth checking out if you want something more calm that focuses on stealth & a touch of puzzle platforming at times. It'll probably take you less than a day to fully 100% it, but it's a nice break from the more action packed stuff I was playing at the time.
 
People afraid of Chrono Trigger PS1...remember there is a iOS/Android port of the DS version that's supposedly pretty good!
I know no one is gonna go for that

I believe it iis! Other Settings -> Disc Speed -> Fast when you press the PS button during the game.
 
Sorry if this was already mentioned someplace. I was curious if any of the titles on sale have embedded Japanese either while the system is in English or if you change your system to Japanese?

I'm trying to keep my Japanese skill moving forward and some fun games would definitely help :) Thanks.

You mean Japanese text as well as audio? Phew, that's a tough one. The ONLY game I've heard of personally that has that option is Deception IV (PS3/Vita).

Yes, you can leave your PS3 on. I did it last week to download some stuff.

Ahh, okay. I just remember sometimes I'd have to go into the download history in order to make something I got on the browser store to download (though maybe that was the Vita, can't recall). But oh well, I turned it off since I had to go & the PS+ price still isn't up yet. Guess I'll just have to get it once I'm done with class in 2 hours.

Thanks for confirming! Now we just need a brave soul to confirm that it halves load times on PS3 just as well as on Vita.

Edit: reading back a few pages I see some people saying it makes no difference on PS3. A shame. Guess I'll wait and play it elsewhere at some point.
 
Seeing PS+ price on ToS Chronicles now....just as my college class starts. Oh well, guess I'll get it once I'm home.

Yes. For what it's worth, it maybe sped things up a second or 1.5 seconds tops on Vita. It felt just like the PS1 version of CT either way.

It's really not THAT bad....well. the menu takes 7-8 seconds to load....okay fine..yeah..

The load time is hard coded to the game. It'll always take as long to load, no matter the setting.
 
I still can't get over $10 for ToS: Chronicles. I almost bought the game for $40. This game cam out two months ago and already 75% off? Glad I'm a Plus member.

Weird, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection has been updated, but I'm not getting the PS+ discount on it (it shows up at $19.99). Anyone else seeing the same thing?

edit: not seeing the PS+ prices for anything, actually.

Man this sale... I was so ready to get Child of Light, then this happened. Looks like I'll be dropping close to $50 today and then I'll be day one-ing MK8 at the end of the month. Gonna have to dial it back a bit and maybe play some of these games! Sorry CoL. Maybe during a winter sale...

The Atelier games on Vita are only digital here in the US or also got a physical release?

I prefer to buy physical, but if they are only digital, this is the time!
