Regarding gameplay, I think this game will play a lot like Demon's Souls, Sony knows what From's fanbase wants and that's more Souls esque games. They may change things up a bit but I guess that it's going to be another Souls game (not that there is anything wrong with that)
Also, Yoshida said that they wanted to grow the Demon's Souls IP, it would be a bit strange if they go overboard and turn it into a hack and slash no?

Besides it's not like SCE does Playstation exclusive games.

There is no PC version but be happy, PS4 games run at >30 fps / 1080p, so you should be fine.

The framerates you're talking about died with the PS3 / 360 (and even then, most people didn't care that much) so there's no "bad framerate on consoles".

Second Son has a perfectly fine framerate, gorgeous graphics and a perfect IQ, so I guess it's okay.

Exclusives can be optimized for one platform, and hopefully Sony stopped looking at Souls as some sort of second fiddle lowtier exclusive unworthy of being localized, therefore it gets more budget cash.

I think that would actually be pretty awesome, and it would make coming back to the game over and over (and in consecutive ng+ playthroughs) more entertaining.

It's not about complaining about 30FPS. It's talking about the benefits of 60FPS and that people actually care about it. Sometimes devs read these forums, you know.

You mean Soul's Fanbase. I want more Soul games but I also want Lost Kingdoms, Otogi, King's Field and new IPs.
 
I think the past three Souls games have been Berserk enough. I really like Berserk, but the new direction this seems to be taking looks very interesting.
A Van Helsing/CastleVania type game with hunting Werewolf/Vampires and other mythical creatures is a game I have always wanted.
 
So I'm wondering what happens to this team after Beast Souls? I'm pretty sure Dark Souls 3 is coming given it's success and they already have two teams capable of making the games. With the Buyout I can't see this game getting another version unless Sony makes it themselves or steals away some of From soft's dev team(please no). Would be nice if the darksouls 2 team starts prelim work on 3 and Miyazaki and crew join them to finish it up after the Beastsouls work is done.

I don't know what you're reading into this. I'm not talking markers and necromorphs and assault rifles. I'm talking Dead Space as a reference to its atmosphere and setting (which go hand in hand), i.e. isolation, no way out, a mere inch of steel between you and the endless void, nothing to rely on but yourself, strange noises in the lower decks. Does "derelict space vessel with Souls combat" sound any more acceptable to you?

Based on the general gist of your posts I've read over the last few months, bullshit.
You denounce 30fps just as much as you spruik the benefits of 60fps.
Anyway, I've said my part and I was shut down by a mod. I have no intention of getting into a pointless discussion with you, since we're probably both as stubborn as each other. :'P

While I liked World and Character Tendency, I hated how difficult it was to move towards white. The first time is fine, but if you want to experiment, then getting back to white after being black is night on impossible

Going by what you can tell from the screenshots, the time period wouldn't permit something like an assault rifle. And since there were weapons like the triple-shot Avelyn before, the blunderbuss that the player character seems to be holding doesn't seem to much of a stretch to put into the Souls combat system. Who knows how they will implement it.

Yeah, crude weapons that have disadvantages, or maybe you will be able to imbue the ammo with magic. That would be pretty cool.

I think we dont know enough about the buyout or the relationships between those involved have to decide that there wont be another from/jp studios calab.
 
This game is easily the most exciting game for me, right now. A new Halo, CoD, and all the like don't hold a candle to how awesome Project Beast, is.

I was lead to believe Kadokowa was a rival publisher in Japan. Buying 80% of From Software's shares I doubt they would want the dev team to collaborate with Sony on another title. But i guess we will wait and see.

I don't understand. Kadokawa has already been making games exclusive to Sony platforms, why would they be against collaborations with the company?
