Yeah, this. Worst game engine of all the Pokemon games, worst single player scenario design of all the Pokemon games, first Pokemon game I've actually never gotten to the Elite 4 in...just an all round a average game, which is unacceptable for Pokemon!

I'm really glad I'll be able to play a great Pokemon game on my 3DS!

The lines on Groudon look similar, but Kyogre's are completely different. Look at Kyogre's forehead, the original form doesn't have lines there. These are likely mega evolutions.

I imagine Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert are givens, I wouldn't think they'd give Blaziken a big advantage like that.

Even some older Pokemon that were common in RS, like Wobbuffet or Lantern could get cool Mega Evos.

They still have a long way to go. It's already May and 3DS dropped around 50% YoY in Japan. It also won't drive hardware as well as X and Y. Not saying they can't make it but it's really very hard to imagine.

Seems Nintendo are taking measures to move more units. The just released a free game promo last month and they've yet to release the cheaper 2DS revision in Japan.

That, and Kyogre's tailfins and large-fin-wing-things also have a different design that doesn't follow the glow directions like in their original designs. If that were true, we should see the ends of black stripes on Groudons chests. Then there's also how his claw designs differs as well.

Megas change the entire shape of a Pokemon (except for Kangaskan, but that is a huge exception). Kyrogre's and Groudon's shapes are the same, they just added more glowy lines, which don't necessarily mean a Mega Evolution to me, just more dramatic detail added when they glow on the title screen/in game cutscene.
