I honestly find this extremely hard to believe. They're not going to re-release another version of Halo CE: Anniversary, and then put out both multiplayer for H2 and H3 -- that makes absolutely no sense.

I think it is more about "We don't comment on rumors" as to avoid saying either yes or no, which sets a pattern and gives information. "No comment" can't be reliable interpreted in any way.

The later Halos could be run at 60FPS too, no? Halo CE, as i've understood it, has its animations locked at 30 so upping the FPS doesn't really do anything.

Yep. I completely agree with this.
Whilst I like Bears books I just couldn't get into the K5 trilogy, but that wasn't because it had a slightly different genre or whatever.
It was because it was jarring to read coming from post 3 and just generally boring.

I really think chiefs going to take a back seat, I think the top Spartan will take lead and Chief will be the mysterious character in the background. I hope it builds up his legend as you play maybe even an inspiration to the Spartan.
I don't like the idea of ONI or anyone hunting Chief nor do I like him going rogue.
If they couldn't do Halo 3/4 @ 1080p60, they've done something horribly, horribly, horribly wrong.

Whether or not Halo 5 will have AAs, i would like to have them in the campaign and whatever other non-competitive mode there might be.
Limiting them to campaign would allow 343i to go wild with them too. Stuff like Forerunner Constraint Field Manipulation AA (telekinesis like the Didact had) or perhaps a regenerating mine layer or teleport module etc.

I just hope it's campaign only for CEA, H3, and H4. I don't want anything taking away from the population numbers of H2A's matchmaking(that is if it has it's own mp component).
Well actually now that I have read the up to date posts here I don't know if I do anymore. ADS? in my Halo? It's hopefully less likely than I think.
I was gently escorted upon the hype train by Bonnie Ross's claims that they were listening to the fans and what not but ADS... Just give me H2 HD before you continue to shit on my favorite game series please.

Ntkrnl came and dropped bombs a few months ago, insiders said he was a controlled leaker authorised by MS to build hype.
Leaked lots of Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 5 beta stuff and also stuff like crackdown 3, forza horizon 2 etc. He has had a fairly good track record so far.
No idea who Shinobi is.
I was talking more about actually going of balanced gameplay that sticks to the halo core mechanics. ADS should never be present in Halo it is unwarranted and unneeded.

If CE comes you can bet your ass it will just be CE:A HD. Don't start expecting multiplayer. They already said pc netcode is too shitty and they can't add netcode to the game without massive effort.
Halo 2 will most likely be the focus for multiplayer. Based on what phil said.
I can't think of anything worth actually carrying over to a new game anyway.

In theory it shouldnt be that hard to plug into the Halo 3 existing servers. It's the same game just at a different resolution.
Halo 2 will be the focus. Halo 3 and 4 will most likely be straight resolution upgrade ports.

Need to do something about movement speed up that for sure and probably prune some of the power weapons like the laser from the matchmaking environment for a start.

No way it was a controlled leak. Look at the lengths MS goes to, to announce things. Entire press conferences and interviews with every website to say they bought the Gears of War IP. They're not going to reveal about two years worth of hardware and software plans in a series of posts on a forum, even an influential one. In the end, other sites barely reported it cautiously and the ones who did, only reported what they could confirm or that MS confirmed they're looking for him. He hasn't posted since, unlike CBoaT, which leads me to believe he is either gone from his position, was already going and decided to do a scorched earth type reveal, or was plain lucky. He hinted how it's easy to read a spreadsheet, how he doesn't really care about the implications. Also, be released info that has nothing to do with anybody like Black Tusk canceled IP Shangheist. What's point of reveal?
I mean just think about it, if you did a controlled leak it would make more sense to provide more proof than your word, and you'd go to several sites with viewership far greater than NeoGAF like IGN no? Not to mention, he revealed stuff that impacts other companies like Platinum Games, Respawn/EA etc.
