GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY - Trailer 2 - You're Welcome

Does all of Marvel properties exist in the same universe? Could GotG meet people from the Avengers?

With the exception of X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man, yes!

In fact, a character in this film is already being planned as the major villain for Avengers 3.

IMDB I know I know, might be nothing, might be something.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2015381/fullcredits

Robert Firth is playing a "Dr. Fitz", another possible AoS connection?

Hmmmm...
4 months till season 2 starts... little over 2 months till GotG premiers...

Could be nothing.... but it could be something.

All this connectedness of the MCU is gonna drive me crazy as I know I must watch everything if I'm going to stay caught up, and if it wasn't for GAF I would still miss so much as the collective awareness of everyone here points out all the little things that the rest of us overlook.

Trailer was seriously fucking cool. Again I love the overall art design and colors they're going with. Love The Milano...I might have to grab the toy when it comes out...

That shot of Knowhere was really fucking cool too.

Here is Rocket's ship, The Warbird, from the trailer in toy form:

Couple of things I noticed from the trailer...Does Quill actually have implants? You see a device behind his ear that turns on and off his mask...could be a "bluetooth" kind of device too though.

Also...looks like a shot of The Milano and The Reavers with Yondu is in the trailer too. I saw some artwork a few months back showing a squadron of ships that looked similar to The Milano.

First trailer confirmed that Quill has, at the very least, a translation implant.

Are we going to see cosmo?

"Rocket was always going to be the focus, but fans of Cosmo will have to wait and see the movie," Feige teased.

I'm very positive on the movie in general, but I have to bring up one thing troubling me...

The Novas seems very bland...and by that I mean they appear to not have any Nova force!

They're getting everything else about Cosmic so right, so I can't imagine they would get Novas so wrong.

Is it possible the Nova Force doesn't exist yet and this movie will be the origin of that? Does it exist and they are hiding it from the trailers? Will it not be a part of the MCU?

Just kind of puzzling.

There can't be a Knowhere without Cosmo, as far as I'm concerned.

What I really can't wait for is the post-credits scene. Could it be the introduction of Nova (Dick Rider version)? Could it be a tease of future members (Mantis and Bug arriving on Knowhere maybe)? Could it be the reveal of a cocoon in some weird spaceship church? THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!

That trailer is so cool. From what I saw in trailers and interviews, this oozes passion. Like everyone on the team wanted to give their 110% and make something fuckin' awesome together.

This happens so rarely, but MARVEL seems to have found their recipe to success. Give the job to people of passion.

I really hope this movie does well.

I think so far the trailers want to establish these are the characters you're going to see.

You expect them all to appear radioactive glowing yellow? This movie isn't even about the Novas. They're probably mostly background shit for now.

The Nova costumes looks fine in my opinion.

The rank and file Corpsmen only have a smidgen of the force. The Worldmind isn't just a power source it was the central computer for Xandar.

The impression the trailers give is that the Novas are literally just like normal cops. Powerless humanoids. I don't expect them to glow yellow, but I do expect them to fly around and be able to shoot lasers. They also have ships, which further leads me to believe they do not have these powers.

Yes, but Rhomann Dey and the Nova Prime would not have just a smidgen of force.

Not only do they look fine for what they are, but it'll also make Richard Rider Nova stand out that much more when he's finally introduced.
I know it's not going to happen, SHUT UP

Cosmo is definitely in the movie. Every time he comes up they are coy about it like that, and Gunn tweeted that dog space suit himself. The only question is how much he is in the movie.

Of course he is. Some people are just in denial.

Why are you so convinced about this

It's weird

It's been apparent for a while that the MCU Novas have no superpowers. Hopefully, their role in the film allows for a Richard Rider to somehow exist eventually.

Right, and that's my issue. Novas should be...Novas, not just bland generic cops but in space.

And all we seen them do is talk. You don't expect them to be firing gravmetric pulses while having a conversation?

But they are generic space cops. Actually they would be generic space security guards The never had the numbers or juice to have serious pull. Not with the Shi'ar, Kree, and Skrulls around..

I'm willing to bet that down the road elite Nova Corps officers / operatives will show up who use technology to achieve the super powered Nova look and effectiveness. If Stark can build power armor, Xandarians should be able to make anything they want.

Right now we're just seeing the regular duty guys who aren't kitted out to be walking weapons.

So for funsies I looked back at the old rumor/announcement of Guardians of the Galaxy back in June 2012 and found so choice posts lol

For the love of God, don't mess up Nova.

And DON'T include Rocket Raccoon, there's just some things you CANNOT do in a live action movie.

A lot of different reputable sites reporting in saying this is going to happen, sounds like it's legit.

I don't know anything about the GoTG, but it sounds neato enough for me--I just pray that Marvel Studios doesn't scower the depths of TV Sitcoms to find a director for this movie.

Knowing them, however, they'll probably outdo themselves and hire a YouTube director.

Man of Steel will be the Iron Man of the DC Cinematic Universe.

Delusion: not just for breakfast anymore!

I'l never doubt you ever again Latino Review.

Oh.

This, loved the hell out of that trailer, I really can't wait to see this.

I too hope it does well enough for more (I think it will, it looks great and fun).
