The Order: 1886 new gifs and info

Posting it here so people can stop asking about that GT tweet:

What makes you think so? I'm expecting a third person shooter with some "scary segments" and a good atmosphere. QTE won't be a key factor in the game, just an addition for melee combat / make some cinematics more interactive.

If they release this game in September and DriveClub in October, what are they going to release in November?

They have been pretty clear about it in every interview, the game is basically a movie where the player can alter the flow of events in real time based on how they play ;)
People are getting the wrong idea about the game and when they'll find out what it is many of those who don't like this cinematic story telling genre, will be disappointed.

About the last question....we'll find out at E3? :D
I think that people thinking that Sony has just The Order in the pipeline for the 2014 holiday season just because it's the only title announced right now, are in for a good surprise. Games take years to develop and you have to schedule the development pipeline so that every year are bunch of titles are released. They had 4 games planned for the launch window of PS4, one got delayed until October. Thinking that Sony planned to release just a single big game for a key period like the second holiday season on the market of the PS4 is a bit naive imo.
Just yeasterday we found out about Singstar PS4.

Is anyone even hyped for this game?

Umm...yes

Its a new IP from the geniuses behind Daxter, GoW: Chains of Olympus, and GoW: Ghost of Sparta

The last game, I'd consider the best God of War game since God of War 2. And Ru Weerasuriya was the creative director of those games and he is the creative director for The Order so that makes me....hyppppeeddd!

EDIT: Based Shinobi, tell us when the actual release date is. I've had this preordered since it was announced

It's strange that shinobi is kinda leading on that release date, when he has no subtlety in putting his tweet down for Quantum Break's delay.

And if it's insane date like Fall 2015, there's no way Sony will reveal that yet.

If 1886 slips to 2015 and no Uncharted either this year... PS4 looks pretty friggin empthy when it comes to exclusives.

Truly the Vita has to carry this year.

Fuck...please don't tell me its 2015 now..

Fuck fuck fuck NO COME ON..NO!!!

GOD!

There better be some unannounced amazing looking and fun games announced at E3 that comes out THIS YEAR!

There won't be will there?

I am teh sad.

I doubt any "delay" would be that substantial. If anything they'd push it back to Spring 2015 if development is that far off.

I honestly don't even mind a delay. I just want the game to release and be given a proper marketing budget (at the very least Infamous:SS level of marketing).

Ready At Dawn will be the next Naughty Dog and I hate how people seem to be dismissing the game because of 10 seconds of gameplay.

Shinobi is heavily hinting that The Order has fallen into 2015. If that's true then I guess it's just Drive Club for Sony. Oh dear. At least there's a lot of good third party stuff coming this year.

It's delayed if release dates are decided by NeoGAF forum members pulling info out of their ass. Otherwise, it's still on track for Fall '14.

I've listened to multiple members of the gaming press say that when they saw the game it looked very rough. They mostly seem to think that there's no way it comes out this year. I don't think it will either, and I think that might be why others on here believe the same thing.

Couple of people on Twitter are saying this is going to be delayed and the announcement is next week.

Who's the couple of people?

Because a delay announcement next week is kinda... awkwardly timed, to say the least. At least announce the delay simultaneously with an awesome game-play reveal, or slightly after to reduce the negativity.

Assuming a delay, announcing it a week before E3 is literally inviting a negative mood going into Sony's event.

Maybe they will announce PS4 sales figures at the same time?

I just don't think Driveclub is enough to carry PS4 when it comes to the general perception of AAA exclusives. MS is not much better off either with QB seemingly 2015 too.

Luckily the 3rd party side seems ok but this is not how the second holiday should go :P.

Well, I dunno if it's a good or a bad thing but 2015 at this rate will be insane. The Judges Week murmurs about 2014->2015 being a trend is probably spot on. Maybe 1886 is one of the titles that they were talking about, it most likely was present there since it is in a playable form.

Again, it's a super awkward time to do so. Sony doesn't have a 90 minute time-limit at their E3, chest-thumping on stage is must better than doing it via a PR release a week before the biggest attention draw in gaming news for the year.

Pre-E3 stuff for games like Driveclub, Helldivers, etc make a lot of sense. Singstar also makes sense since that's a IP that's far more popular in Europe, and it's an established IP without the same 'wow' power of a AAA graphics horse.

But sales update seem weird.

I'm looking forward to it, I wouldn't be too bothered if I knew they were plenty of games on the horizon for my PS4 but as things stand it doesn't look that way and whatever new content gets shown at E3 it will most likely not be available for another 12-18 months anyway.

I'm happy if they decided to delay it to early 2015.
Look that pack full fall, The Order will get slaughter if they release in fall.
It's a new IP, take more time to nurture it.

It's not like we got nothing to play in that period.

It's been in dev for 3.5 years by now - 4 by the fall. I think that is plenty of time for a new IP, especially one that is not open-world or has any multiplayer elements.

If this truly has slipped into 2015, I wonder if Sony may be trying to get at least Uncharted out the door? Should be interesting to see what Sony is doing

Seeing how the last time we saw the game it ran at what looked like 20fps and was about exciting as watching paint dry, I say: Hell-to-the-yeah. The graphics, the art style and the premise are extremely cool. Would be a shame to rush it out the door.

I am thinking Feb/March 15.

Well, we still got GOW: Ascension remaster!

Does not mean anything,if a game need more time it needs more time.

This is their first original IP.

Yeah, second holiday PS3 we got Uncharted. ND are struggling this time :p

Everyone's trying to perfect their games. They know they have too much to lose so they have to make sure they get it right out of the gate or the future of the franchise is fucked, and the stakes are raised especially for new IPs.

The game will see really well, and RaD will be absorbed by Sony as a first party developer /looking at crystal ball

that would suck so bad...

why did i even buy a PS4?

On the one hand, I'd rather have games to play. On the other hand, I noticed the "there's no drought" crowd have gone silent and it feels good to be right.

The Order probably got pushed back to Q1 next year. Means Uncharted 4 is probably Q3 2015.

Now I kinda don't want Batman to get pushed back.
