I've gotta say, I'm full prepped for disappointment from all parties. Jeff Gerstmann over at Giant Bomb talking about how Judges Week basically affirmed for him that next year will be pretty exciting sealed the deal for me.

I'd be expecting announcements from Sony, MS, Ubi, and whoever else wants to get in on it, that all center around stuff we won't be seeing for over a year. And that will be most of it.

Its really not.I am not sure why some people continue to say it is.

If we didn't have alot of major games coming out in Fall than yes that would be a problem.
 
I've been really interested in this game because of the London setting. Hopefully R@D will deliver even if a delay to early 2015 is needed.

Yeah a lot of us figured this game would be delayed so its not a surprise. When GI did their cover story and then had RAD on their podcast that same month, they just sounded like they were nowhere near completing this game. If i had to guess, I'd say Summer/Fall 2015

Because people want games that differentiate one platform from another, so someone going to buy a console will look at the big games, CoD, Destiny, AssCreed, etc, and see they're all on both, then look at the exclusives to make their decision. At least that's logically what I would expect people who haven't already made up their mind would do.
 
I'm not suprised that it can be delayed and truth to be told, after seeing incredible improvements with Driveclub, take your time RaD. I (not to mention Sony) would rather have polished AAA new IP with great future, than half-baked product. Take all the time you need, I can see March-April 2015 date and lol for all people saying that there isn't much to play this fall. Order would be lost with all established franchises (aka Assassins Creed, Far Cry, CoD, Dragon Age, Batman etc.)

Yeah, but when people were speculating which game it was Shinobi shot down every guess except The Order. He even went out of his way to state that he wouldn't respond if the guess was correct.

I think it's pretty clear he was referring to The Order.

I just hope that delaying their Fall biggest title won't mean that some of the early 2015 titles are delayed too as a consequence.
 
Ah. I wasn't following the replies, just his main tweets.

I guess I won't be too upset about a delay as long as it's not massive.

Agree.
And Sony got a bit of luxury to delay games for the better.
It's not like they need to rush everything to sell those console.

PS4 in Japan that's a whole different story
 
If it is delayed, no PS4 for me until 2015. I'm fine playing Wolfenstein and The Evil Within on PS3, and I'll just play Sunset Overdrive and Arkham Knight on my brother's Xbone when we get a place together.
 
With these rumors of delays, could Sony really have no first party game for this holiday season? That just doesn't make sense to me. Here's hoping for a huge E3.
 
I'd be seriously annoyed if this was delayed. Sony needs at least one big stand out exclusive for the holiday, and I think this is it.

I suppose I should have mentioned just the subsequent showings. The initial reveal was interesting, granted. But I will stand by my lack of enthusiasm with the footage they showed afterward.

Unless it desperately needs a lot of fixing it will not be Summer.

Anyways.....plenty of new info will be shared next week on the game. So look forward to that.
 
I have a ton to play this upcoming 2nd half of the year, so 1 less game is not going to kill me.

It would suck, because this game looks phenomenal and like it could be some fun. But whatever it takes to make the best game they possibly can. Fine by me.

Destiny is going to be taking up nearly all my time anyway, then DriveClub.

I'm a little disappointed that The Order is most likely delayed, but I'll get over it. Just so long as Dragon Age: Inquisition hits. In fact, this helps Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor too.

I think this is just Sony getting games that were already announced last E3 out of the way. I mean if it's a response to Halo, it's a pretty damn weak response. Two new IP in response to the next numbered entry for one of the biggest series in gaming?
 
I have to say that delays/rumoured delays of Sony first/second party games have been disappointing after the song and dance made out of the "time to triangle, ease of development and that a lot of these games have supposedly been in dev for 2-3 years before announcement.

I fully accept games are bigger and more complicated to make then ever, but the games I really want (inc The Order) seem to get delayed or pushed to at least a year later than I hoped (Uncharted).

I just hope E3 has some nice surprises to tide me over. I now don't expect anything other than DriveClub this year.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the early The Order: 1886 embargo is because they're going to announce a delay to 2015 and they don't want that negative point being unveiled first in their big press conference. Get it out 2 weeks early and it's just something you breeze by in the presser.
