The shooting happened at night and it was dark...I'm confused why police say the suspect acted alone when witnesses claim that there were two men in the BMW. Am I missing something obvious?

I don't think so. The world only reacts one way to entitled pricks, and 99.9% of them never kill anyone over it. He chose to interact with the world in such a way that such responses were inevitable. Really, it's beneficial for people to get knocked off their high horse - hard. This guy was an anomaly.
Eyewitnesses can be notoriously unreliable.I'm confused why police say the suspect acted alone when witnesses claim that there were two men in the BMW. Am I missing something obvious?
Those forced evil chuckles in that video, fuck. Dude thought he was a supervillain.
Scenario: A kid gets bullied and shoots up his school. Do you think it's more helpful for the reporter to say that he had a mental illness or that he was bullied everyday for several months which caused him to have a mental breakdown? Blanket statements such as "mental illness" don't help anyone. It just allows society to sweep the problem under the rug. Once you attach the mental illness label, people don't care anymore. THEY'D never do such a thing because they don't have a mental illness. The reason that people got killed was because the shooter was crazy, not because of reasons that could have been prevented. The concept of having a mental illness is so stigmatized that people will refuse to get treated because they don't want the label. That's dangerous. In addition, at what point does someone have a mental illness? There was a poster that I replied to earlier that said he almost felt what this guy felt. However, he chose a different (and better) path. Does that person now automatically not have a mental illness because he didn't massacre innocent people? Or did he have a mental illness up until the point where he decided it wasn't the world's fault? Or does he still have a mental illness? Does the question really even matter? Should we not help those in need even if they don't have a mental illness? Or does everyone who needs help have a mental illness? IMO the label is largely irrelevant from a societal standpoint and only serves to help people easily make sense of a complicated world. What? No, not at all. Doing that you're accepting that there is a problem. Thinking that applying some sort of label pushes the problem away is asinine. People have undiagnosed mental illness due to whatever reasons? Help that person with mental illness. You can't prevent bullying with medication and therapy, you can however treat the terrible affects of bullying with therapy and maybe medication.

Elliot Rodger was a fairly attractive man. Too bad he doesn't know magic because then he could have easily got a woman or topped Breivik's highscore. I wish he killed more...

You'd think having some kind of connection to the Hunger Games movies would get him some action. Ladies love that shit.
You made the number one mistake of reading YouTube comments.
It sounds like he's trying way to hard in those videos to be evil and intelligent. Forced laughs an all.

Is this a comment lamenting the fact that he wasn't a wizard?

So do you even believe in magic? I do. I practice it. I'm not sure if you do.

I found a way to give myself up to demonic possession. It's as good as dying. My vessel will be a vector of pure hatred and I will escape this world. Enjoy being left behind, mundane filth.
Jeez that video. This is what total madness sounds like. Those fake laughs and goofy one liners. The guy was lost in his own little fantasy world.
Looking into that guy's profile more.
Yes.
And 9 people apparently agree....

Why would they do that? Aren't his posts basically a great opportunity to help police / psychologists / family / whatever figure out where everything went wrong with the guy?
If they are deleting everything and not just taking it offline they're going to get hit with obstruction of justice. In any case they're going to get subpoenaed big time.
Another thread. Can't seem to get cache of the entire thread though, just the first page
The BB mods are going overdrive deleting everything related to the event right now. Hard to link the posts. I just updated OP with an example thread.

So many horrible people who insult my height and call me names like "phaggot". You remind me of the people who bullied me in 9th grade, forcing me to be homeschooled for the rest of high school.
Probably because he was treated like garbage on the forums and they're trying to save face. Why would they do that? Aren't his posts basically a great opportunity to help police / psychologists / family / whatever figure out where everything went wrong with the guy?

I'm just mystified that if the family knew something was going on nothing was apparently done. He clearly had more problems than being murderous narcissist and I doubt he made much of an effort to fly under the radar.
whats up with semi famous peoples kids shooting up iv this is the second time its happened
edit: well i guess the first time wasnt a shooting but the dude ran people over and claimed himself to be death so thats close enough
He might have had people to confide in. People that looked out for him and genuinely wanted to help him. Even so, it wouldn't matter. These things are about as natural as whirlwind or the change of seasons. It's one aspect of emotion just as much as any other. The hatred, and your contrasting viewpoint, just as well.
Well if the family doesn't get blamed guns obviously will be. I'm just in shock that a rich white kid couldn't get enough motivation to buy a few hookers and blow so he shoots people instead.
