Disliking Earthbound, that's new I guess?

To each his own, I guess. But I can understand why someone wouldn't like Earthbound. It's setup and plot are bizarre and sort of all over the place, and I've never been able to figure out how the turn system works. Enemies just seem to attack whenever they feel like it, especially bosses. I loved it, but I can definitely see people being turned off by it.

I've always wished I was better with Ness in Smash. He's so much fun to use, but I never managed (read: never put in the time required) to learn him very well. Nailing someone with a fully-charged PK Flash is so satisfying.

Oh, I don't think people who dislike the game are wrong. Opinions and all. RPGs aren't for everyone (I don't like the genre generally as well), and Earthbound is a pretty odd RPG with lots of odd humor.
That said, I think saying it sucks goes a bit too far - although a lot of it is weird and crazy due to its style, the game is mechanically sound, the story is solid and the atmosphere is really good. Even if I didn't enjoy it, I would still say it's at least decent, if not good.

We had this image earlier (and in higher resolution). Nobody believes this is real. It was also determined the 3DS' bottom screen is off as well.

Also I understand some of the criticisms for earthbound like the difficult beginning and how item management can be annoying cause of useless items like the ruler that you don't know are useless. However it does so much things right, the most important of which is story. Its either tied with or better than chronotrigger for me. Also one of the best videogame soundtracks.

That was posted a couple pages back. If the simple ridiculousness of Reggie in Smash doesn't prove this a fake, I don't know what will.

Chrono Trigger plays a lot better than Earthbound - battling is smoother, item management is way better - and it certainly looks better, but I think Earthbound is simply a more interesting game. CT had a promising setup, but never did anything too interesting with it. The world of Earthbound was so much more colorful and entertaining than CT.

Isai could be likely, if he ever attempts smash 4. If he sticks to 64, I don't see any big company being that interested. PC is busy with work and at the recent justice tournament i think he said he would turn down sponsorships cause they probably require him to frequent tournaments which he cant. From the way he talked I don't think he'll be at mlg or evo either. Mew2king got a offer from titan and razr I think, but he turned it down since they wouldn't be paying and wouldn't allow duel sponsorship. I think its sad that he's stuck with EMP who are probably scamming him. Azen is probably most likely after m2k since he plays a lot with Chillin whose with Curse, and Chillin has been saying he'll be returning for a while.

Agreed but i think earthbound plays better overall, its battle system is simplistic but the things surrounding it like auto killing made it much more enjoyable.

I haven't been following the scene but it will be interesting to see how they fare against some of the newer guys.

I think it'll be a year or two before we see top players that started with smash 4, especially since wii u isn't fairly too well and with the 3ds version I don't that much infusion of new blood in the scene with the smash wii u release.

In regards to Smash 4 I agree with you and it's going to be interesting to see how the players will adapt to the newer mechanics like the edge guarding time/ frame duration thing.

He's done a really shady shit. The most recent thing i can think of was during the break of mew2king and CT, Chibo(Main CT guy) revealed that m2k had given 20% of his GOML(mlg qualifier in canada) earnings to EMP, which is alot since he got first in PM and Melee doubles, and third in Melee. This isn't shady in of itself, but Triforce told him to give some dude the 20% of his winning as a gesture of goodwill, and this dude is the COO or something of EMP. EMP didn't pay for transportation and already owes m2k money so ya...you can easily deduce that M2K was manipulated into giving them money.
I might have gotten some deets wrong, you can find the r smashbros post for more info, where m2k himself gives most of the info.
