The Order: 1886 Delayed Into 2015. [Stop talking about MS lineup]

Good news. That last gameplay footage they showed revealed that they still have ways to go before there is a good game. It worked with DriveClub so why not with this?

To me, there will be enough to play this Fall. I'll take a better game that's later over a worse game that comes out sooner.

Polygon - The Order: 1886 is a cover-shooter with grand aspirations

A delay is always better than a rushed release.

Xbox has nothing serious this fall, so they don't need it right now anyway.

I doubt they'll overhaul the entire gameplay system with a couple extra months.

What?! OMG!!

The fun thing about the article is the Our take at the bottom:

A big blow to the system and for Sony considering it was a key first-party title and that it's a lost opportunity to get a leg up on Microsoft since Halo 5: Guardians isn't coming out until 2015.

If I get that straight, they're basicly saying that Sony has until Halo 5 in order to gain a momentum. If the distance isn't wide enough Sony automaticly loses and Microsoft wins next-gen?

I have no issues with the delay.

I find it puzzling that publishers keep putting release dates on stuff that are so early in development when so much can change during the process.

Sony really has dropped the ball on this one

looks like DriveClub is the only big first party PS4 game coming out this year

I really hope this E3 presser for Sony is huge and they have a lot of announcements and maybe some surprises for the fall. I was really looking forward to the Order 1866 and seeing it pushed back stinks. Hopefully the overall product improves (be great if they can throw in even a co-op horde mode). At least the game also has some more breathing room in early 2015 compared to the crowded fall.

Too many high profile games getting delayed is becoming a real bad trend.

All i can think is that when Giantbomb does their GOTY stuff for worst trend, Delays need to atleast be nominated.

Super naive point of view. It may allow Microsoft some breathing room, but they can still capitalise on it. As we saw with Forza they're not afraid to push a game out the door and deliver the rest by DLC.
