Agreed! Also, why would a game be less spectacular just because its leaked? On the contrary, a leaked game causing this hype must have sony very happy.
 
I don't think Beast would have been a huge surprise anyway, it has been an open secret for some time that Sony/From were developing a spiritual succesor to Demon's Souls, and the obvious time to reveal it would be at E3. The only thing the leak has spoiled is the look of the game.

I want to import the US version to get another Demon's Souls platinum but I'm holding out, waiting to see whether they announce a PS4 remaster of it first.

Read this wrong. Thought you meant that you bought Demon's Souls 2, years ago and was thinking you meant something cryptic like Dark Souls being that sequel or something.

But despite this: yes, do try to go back to Demon's Souls. It holds up well and is still very atmospheric and engrossing due to the level design and tight combat. I still have a hard time deciding if I like DeS or DS(2) better.

Its really sad when someone who gets called out on something tries to get rid of the evidence instead of learning from it and growing as a person.

Anyway back on topic I like the look of the screens and I don't care if its exclusive or not I am just looking forward to a new souls game on new hardware.
 
Even if Beast Souls was Sony's big surprise, it's obviously not now, and I really doubt they're going just act like this leap didn't happen and pretend it's a megaton. They have plenty of other stuff, maybe they'll bring an announcement up, maybe they feel the rest of the show is still surprising enough.

Yeah he seems confident that project beast was their only surprise and the conference otherwise is nothing special. Even thuway stated the same thing. If Sony thinks they can continue coasting without bringing their first party ammo then obviously its the companies prerogative. I will delay purchasing a ps4 until they do though. Honestly Yosp is turning out to be a massive disappointment in the way he his greenlighting projects and handling WWS this gen. They need to show at least GG or Bends new IP this E3 if they are serious about their exclusive content.
 
So from the latest developements on the last page, Project Beast could be ready to go this fall (maybe why The Order was pushed back) Hey, maybe the cinema give-away for the attendees could be this game instead of The Last of Us remastered.... Sounds about right.... C'mon, get hypeee!

Here's the problem: this year no one has any idea what Sony is doing. There was no boasting, advertising (up until this little movie theater promotion), or even a semblance of gossip on any rumor mill. One of my best sources just pmed me on GAF he has no idea what's going on 10 minutes ago.


Shit, some of the guys may hate me for this, but NO ONE knows what exactly Sony is even attempting to do or show. Last year around this time, I can safely say there were some people posting in this thread that knew about FFXV, Kingdom Hearts, and the Order. This year not Bruce, not me, not a whole bunch of people we call "insiders" or those you would assume would be in the know- know what Sony is up too.

Contrast this with Microsoft's front where there is chest beating, radical positive moves (different SKUs), and aptly announcing what could be considered the biggest megatons before the actual show itself. It's easy to see why people seem to think Sony will lose.

I'm not saying anyone is going to win, lose, or fall flat on their corporate face's, what I'm trying to say is- this year is more wishy washy than it's ever been. CBoat isn't even around, it's a strange and unexplored journey mang. Sony has either become a fortress where they've plugged every leak or they have nothing to show. I'm essentially tempering my expectations.

Do you really think that Sony would rent out Movie theaters across the country if Project Beast was all they had at this years E3 ? Most of the people in those theaters likely wouldn't even know what it was. Sony knows better then to drum up hype then disappoint.

The Project Beast leak will probably trigger an unplanned inclusion of another megaton announcement.

Sony are clearly working on a lot, its just a question of when they are going to reveal/show.

Like there was that rumor that a trailer for GG's new IP was ready but if it would be shown or not depended on certain factors.

And, well, its highly doubtful that Sony would show up with a single big announcement like PB to begin with.
 
Yeah, it would seem to be a fairly crazy waste of money and goodwill for Sony to book out movie theatres for what amounts to a tradeshow, if all they've got to deliver is one major announcement and a handful of average ones. Perhaps Sony's silence is indicative of a quiet confidence rather than coasting? Who knows? Whether this bites them in the arse...well, we'll have to wait and see.

MS has got a lot to prove after last year's clusterfuck (it was last year's that was the whole DRM/Media thing, yeah?), so I can understand why they are going all out and bringing on some real big guns.
 
You guys are insane. I don't think there is anyone, let alone some random ex IGN dude on twitter that knows all the games MS, Sony and Nintendo are going to show at E3.
