That's pretty much what it says. It's just your typical "This game is still under development etc." warning.Based on Google Translate, my own knowledge of Japanese, and some guesswork from the context, he's saying the game for the tournmanet is still in development, and so if anything goes wrong, just laugh and forgive.
That's what I'm going with until someone better at Japanese than me can translate it properly.
New Assist.
That's part of the hype! Everyone would be sitting and wondering while the matches are played. Zero info beyond the name.Except nobody would be able to use him because they're stuck with the same character throughout the whole tournament.
Player 1 would have to do a quick stock match against the newly unlocked character immediately though due to how the Challenger Approaching mechanic works. So we would have some info beyond the name. That's part of the hype! Everyone would be sitting and wondering while the matches are played. Zero info beyond the name.
Was already confirmed in the Direct.Female WFT superiority CONFIRMED!
New item tonight.
I don't know who that shadow could have belonged to if not Ridley, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Just playing on the FD version isn't really a good substitute, though. The FD version isn't the original stage minus the hazards/bosses; it's FD with some aesthetic changes. That means, for example, that the four platforms on Pyrosphere would be gone in the FD version. So If I want to play on Pyrosphere but don't want Ridley/whoever the boss is causing trouble, I'm out of luck.
Still, you're right: I doubt we'll see more than two or three bosses in each version.
EDIT: Find Mii (assuming there's an FD version of it, which, since the point of FD versions seems to be to remove big hazards and bosses, there probably is,) is an even better example of why FD versions aren't a good solution. Here, you wouldn't just be removing a few platforms; you'd be changing the basic structure of the ground.

Boom!
It's actually a filler pic. With some more information.

Pic of the day. Here's a new item that we've thrown in--the boomerang. As you'd guess, it'll fly back into your hands after you throw it, and if you keep catching it, its attack power grows with each throw! However, opponents can nab the boomerang out of the air, so it might be an easier item to use in Smash Run.
Kyzon said:That's the point though. So you can play FD all you want, but have different backgrounds and music.
When was it shown?
Damn it, knew I should've went with "just filler tonight" again. ><; Would've actually been right this time! It's actually a filler pic. With some more information.
Press pics after the direct. Yoshi using it.

All I read was: "Fuck you, got mine"That is too bad, then. They couldn't possible please everybody with the game anyway. I am fine with a stage having hazards, bosses or nothing at all, it doesn't matter much to me. I only really dislike auto-scrolling stages.
The info about it being catchable by opponents is pretty interesting, seems like it will work much like Phantom Ganondorf's projectile in Zelda: OOT which is cool.

(P.s. Jedi Link, we must be kindred spirits as my name in miiverse is JediKnightLink, add me for MK8 and future smash if you want)
