Playfire Rewards Discussion Thread

So GMG's customer support always responds with a generic reply? What's the point of attachments then? I have tickets pending regarding rewards from last 3 weeks and have only managed to get generic responses. Their customer service is even worse than Valve I guess

Yeah I got the "did your issues persist? Please let us know!" email at least 3 times...not giving up though, I want my Rush Bros Rewards :P

Yeah, I got my form letter response today too, and sent them a pretty strong worded response about how poor of customer service that is. Personally I care less about the rewards at this point than I do about them truly fixing the program because it's so clearly running on a thread. I'm developing some concern that this may end up being the death of GMG, and that would be a huge loss, they are one of the best stores out there.

Honestly reading their response and remembering all my previous interactions with them I'm beginning to think that their customer service doesn't have any ability to look at our accounts and verify the achievements themselves, otherwise why would they ask for things so easily faked as screenshots?

Using the Facebook page might help you get results, I did that when I solved the mystery to why my achievements/games weren't tracking.

Excellent, they've tracked my Goat Sim cheevos which I earned yesterday :)

Hmm good point. I don't think this "Playfire Rewards" thing is gonna work for long if that's how things are supposed to move from their side. Or maybe they don't give a single fuck and just gonna continue this way.

As others have had happen, when my credit finally posted to GMG the 1 dollar = 1 pound bug corrected itself and I got the full amount (which then corrected my displayed Playfire balance). That said, I received the full .50 for the Werewolf Hunter achievement instead of .10, but I haven't done any of the other Sang-Froid achievements to know if the others are correct.

Dear lord. I thought I was the only one. I've been going through customer support hell on GMG and Playfire. My GMG and PF accounts were unbound for some reason. Tried to get it fixed. First time they promise to fix it nothing happens. Second attempt, get a server error every time I even try to log in. What a sad mess. I honestly don't care about the credit anymore. I'm out. Glad all games I got off of GMG were Steam activated.

Wow so they finally responded accurately, and credited the rewards amount. But for some reason, I still can't see the listings on the rewards page.

That's the other thing that makes me wonder just how much (if any) access that customer support has to our Playfire accounts, as they never make the rewards show up, they just add the credit to GMG. I almost wonder what would happen if you filed another ticket for those same missing rewards sometime in the future, because eventually people are bound to forget what they were and weren't given compensation for.

I still haven't had anything show up since May 22ish. Waiting on Outlast, Dark Void Zero and SF4.

I haven't had anything register for a while. I did send in a support ticket for the QUBE achievements a few days ago, so hopefully that'll set it straight.

Street Fighter works since yesterday, you you just have to run the game again for a few minutes so playfire registers new activity. Same for Outlast and Tropico 5 apparently.

Welp. I've been playing plenty of SF over the last few days. I don't think the site has been recording a single achievement for a week+ now.

Check in your playfire achievement list to see if SF now has achievements listed, mine does now. It probably won't register anything until tomorrow though. Of course if your account isn't registering anything at all that's probably a different issue.

I probably just have to wait for it to scan for the day.

Aliens: Colonial Marines - unlock I Feel Safer Already - £0.25

To get this one apparently you only have to have another player join your game in the Main Menu. Does anybody want to try that?

Having a tracking related problem again. Profile was updated and everything tracked, but none of the rewards were added to the rewards page. Did anyone get rewards in the last 12-24 hours?

I've noticed there's a delay between playfire tracking achievements and the rewards actually registering. Give it a day or so and it should be okay.

Alright thanks. So far it seemed to register almost at the same time, but I'll wait a bit.

Gives me a reason to play Knife of Dunwall and Old World Blues.

Dishonored - unlock Creepy Crawly - £0.25 doesn't seem to unlock for me. All I have to do is take possesion of a rat and run through a rat tunnel, right?

The Giana Sisters achievements have me stumped. I know they involve shape shifting but I can't seem to figure out the timing or something.

For the one where you have to land on an owl: Twirl, and the world will change to dark world. While twirling in the air, change to light world.

_________

The Dishonored achievement: You need to posess a rat and move through a rat tunnel. I don't know if other achievements locks this, but I don't think so.

Pretty overwhelmed by the number of rewards available right now. Spent the afternoon doing the new Goat Simulator ones but some achievements in that game are broken right now. Might try Giana sisters since it was mentioned that they're easy.

Played four hours of Little Racers Street yesterday, it's quite fun. But didn't even get close to an opportunity for the Rough victory achievement, it's just not something that really happens, if you wreck that much, you're going to lose. Makes me wish for once they had put one of the more grindy achievements as the max one. It is nice that so many of these old bundle games are getting rewards now though.

How long does it take to get at least the ol' buddy ol' pal achievement for New Vegas? I'm in the very beginning of the game still.

So many rewards, so little time (for late game ones :p ).

I kind of cheated on that. Make a multiplayer game, private, max players 2, and the lowest number of bots (1 which means no bots in your game).

When you start, you will be alone on the track and can crash into all the walls and still finish 1st. I never would've gotten that one otherwise. :) That's really the most fun I'm getting out of this, finding fast ways to get those "challenge" achievements. The story and progression/grind related ones are really boring in comparison.

My theory is that GMG aim to cripple Steam's servers by forcing people to download gigantic games to earn a buck. They're going to rot Steam from the core.
