Grand Theft Auto V - Coming for PS4, Xbox One and PC this Fall - Trailer

Honest to goodness, hearing that this was coming to PC was my favorite announcement from all the conferences thus far (outside of The Witcher 3!)

It may be time for a new video card when it drops! THE EXCITEMENT!

I would imagine that A LOT of people are happy about that. :)

Finally I will play GTA 5 like it was meant to be.

On a PC.

I'm still thinking about whether I want to play it 1080p@120FPS or 1440p@60FPs, can someone help me decide?

I edited in some more detail. I have no inside track, just what seems to me to be common sense.

A modding community would directly undermine any potential GTAO revenue streams. So yes, I'd expect as a much of a controlled experience on PC as Rockstar is capable of, because GTAO on the consoles brought them serious bank. It covered the cost of development all on its own if I remember correctly.

Workshop functionality and VAC combination sound like a solution to protecting the online mode, but I'm not too knowledgeable on that sort of stuff

Indeed R* has spent the last few months battling hacks and exploits. I don't imagine they'll be letting mods anywhere near GTA:O

That's kinda funny considering what's happened to the game the past few weeks. Hackers everywhere ruining other people's games. The stuff they can do to grief people is amazing (and terrible).

Good luck with either. But your CPU will almost certainly rule out 120fps, no matter what you have.

Wait so how does this save transfer work? I don't have my 360 anymore.

It's just your online progress/save that gets transferred. All of it resides on their servers. So they just need to set up a way for us to verify our current gamertag/PSN ID before they move it from one platform to another.

I was expecting house to say "oh, and one more thing, heists are available first on playstation". But there is still no heists???

My guess is that they just decided to hold heists back (as well as possible SP DLC) for the release of this.

Glad it's finally official. I look forward to replaying it when I build my PC, as long as it isn't gimped like GTA IV.

Nice, I bought GTA V on PS3 but I think I'll buy the remake on XB1 since I only have 4 PSN friends haha....

:(

Why not just stick with the PS4 version and add more fellow gaffers? It will likely be better on PS4. 4 friends only? There are thousands of us on GAF alone. We're not far from the beaten path and you can look me up in my profile. I have a mic and am not afraid to talk as well.

Glorious.

I've already played the hell out of this on 360 - and will do so again.

My PC is ready.

I can't believe it took them more than a year to port this to PC. :\
I would've double dipped at D1 before, but now it hass been too long, i'll probably look for a cheap deal.

It wont be better if friends are on another console. Playing with forum members isnt nearly the same as playing with people I grew up with and game with all the time. People I can text or call and tell to get their ass into the game. That beats any resolution difference. It's especially important in GTAO

Putting this in the fall? Like come the fuck on now. We have basically NOTHING for the next two months. Why not get this out in July or August?

Take my money, especially that you're telling me I can transfer my progress over from Xbox 360 to the PS4. Just such a amazing game.

This makes me happy. I'm glad I held off on buying it.

I wonder if I would be better off waiting until I have a PS4 and playing it on that.

My pc is starting to show its age and I don't know how it will run this game.

The odds of you playing it at a solid 60 fps are incredibly low regardless of your specs. It will be heavily CPU bound just like most open world games.

I'm in the same situation sometimes. It's brutal.

I want the best version but there's tradeoffs.

$60, because with sales this fall that'll drop it below that and a lack of releases on the next-gen consoles, they can get away with it.

I agree the lack of releases will help it. But I don't know about "getting away with it". It's a product they are providing. They retail at full MSRP and people buy it. *shrugs*. It the masses don't like the price they won't and the price will fall accordingly. I bet it will be a full 60 bucks and it will sell a bunch.
