I really hope the story isn't
"Sully, I have to do this for personal reasons"
"Why Drake, you've been out of the game for to long"
"They kidnapped my kid, Sully"
Last thing we need is another kidnapped kid plot.
"They took my job, Sully"
GOTY.

Graphics looked nice, but not showing actual gameplay was a massive fail.
The sand deforms from the weight of his arm... Shiiit
Is that what you said about the U2/U3 reveals?
Just saw your edit. Unfortunately they video you linked is from a cutscene in the game. It is not rendered in real-time on the PS3. I guess the same could be done for UC4, although that would kind of nullify the graphical impressiveness. This was suppose to be impossible too
What the fuck was this shit? This was not real-time! Somebody said it was going to be real-time! Whatever that was, it will not be found anywhere in the retail game, well except for that bloody hand part.
And what the fuck was up with God of War 3? When I first saw Kratos face I thought we were going to see his PS2 face transform into his PS3 face, though for some reason it remained shitty. And to think some people actually suggested that Kratos would look somewhat like how he did in the first CG teaser. THIS was going to be the pinnacle of graphical achievement this generation? It looked like a painting come to death.
I stood up two hours early to watch this shit. What a waste of time.
P.S. It would be nice of you guys at Naughty Dog if you could show us how the game actually look like in the near future. Thank you.
Yup. Then they changed their unveiling approach for Uncharted 3 and TLoU. So why should Uncharted 4 suddenly go back to 2? Looking at the most recent examples of their work seems to make the most sense. It pays to not doubt the Naughty Gods, from the Uncharted 2 world premiere thread:

The new Drake looks unlikable. Like a henchman.

That's not it at all. The rumour was born from a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot in some PS promo video of what was presumably a 16th-century ship sitting in water. People began speculating that, since the game was announced as just "Uncharted", you'd be playing as Francis Drake rather than Nathan Drake.
"For we receive the due reward of our deeds"?

Hype!
I keep seeing Daniel Craig in Casio Royale in Drakes profile.

My opinion about those reveals are my own. I've never publicly said anything about them. What I am concerned about is the number of people with unrealistic expectations. There is no doubt in my mind that some people are going to see past any graphical shortcomings between the final product and the trailer, but from a purely technical standpoint I honestly do not see how the PS4 could be capable of this level of graphics any more than the PS3 was capable of KZ2 reveal trailer graphics.
I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong. I'll wash it down with the sense of satisfaction I get when something exceeds my expectations.

*sigh*.
Hyped and disappointed at the same time. I want a fun adventure with lots of quips and humor, colorful locales and a happy, romantic ending. Leave the melancholia for Last of Us and other IPs.
At least it's actually staring Nate. Had virtually zero interest in the series continuing without him.
He looks older, but also looks tired. He's been through a lot and as you said, he might have lost his 'humanity' through all of it. He's done a lot of killing and he's nearly died a lot. I wonder if this is the last we see of Drake.DerZuhälter;115691819 said:Maybe this is exactly how the uncanny valley feels like, but something about the new Drake feels off. yeah i saw it as he was getting up off the sand but once he stood up and looked around i wasn't really seeing it anymore lolAm I the only one who thinks he looks like Liam Neeson?
Uncharted 2 was different considering they opened with a real time cutscene. People doubted, they learned their lesson when the game came out and looked exactly the same. Uncharted 3 and TLoU were unveiled with a pre-rendered cutscene. As a matter of fact TLoU doesn't look as good during the actual game, so anyone who doubted there was essentially proven correct. Uncharted 4 will look bloody amazing, but not as good as this. If someone says it will look like crap compared to this they are obviously wrong too.I'm going to guess it has something to do with this being their first effort on the console. You're missing my point, though.
I played Uncharted 3. Didn't look as good during gameplay as the unveiling cutscene. It's not even about character models, that's completely believable. More talking about IQ.Uncharted 3 looks the same as the Cutscene in the retail game. Naughty Dog has been mentioning how their in game character models and cutscene models will be the same in next gen.
Most of slept through the UC2 and UC3 reveals huh? Equally as dramatic and dark.
I think it'd be cool if Sully was dead and is now a voice in Drake's head.

They didn't make the best looking game on PS3.so this is what happens when you give the team that made the best looking ps3 games on 256 MB of Vram, a 300 Gflop Video card and no unified memory access to a 1.84 tflop Video card and a ton of RAM.
Is this your first time seeing a game reveal in general or something? With all past Uncharted games, they've never shown gameplay for the first shown visuals of the game. This is absolutely nothing new..
How exactly is it a massive fail? I feel like it's the first E3 for a lot of people these days
Don't worry! It'll probably be that exact plot with Elena captured instead.I really hope the story isn't

It pays to not doubt the Naughty Gods, from the Uncharted 2 world premiere thread:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't all of ND's games showcased gameplay exclusively on E3? Just asking.
Just watched the trailer again. Glad to see Drake married Chloe!
They really weren't.
They really weren't.
where are those who said "oh druckmann and straley know the franchise! they're not gon a make it dark and gritty!"
as far as i can tell they just further pushed uncharted into darker territory. maybe that's why hennig was fired.
