A guy on imgur says he will kill himself tomorrow.

Suicide is no joke and I feel deeply sorry for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one or has hit the bottom and never received the help they needed. But come on. He's talking about killing people right there.

That's a bit rough. The man sounds ill. Mental illnesses make people think bad, dark things, they're not being themselves. That's where medication and therapy step in to correct that. So yeah, I'd say you should feel sorry for him. I know I do.

I know, and I've known people with serious mental illnesses. It's terrible.

Edit: I do feel sorry for him, I didn't mean to sound so aggressive.

Eh, suicide victims are known to hide their feeling very well. He is doing it in imgur comments, so not many people will know its him without investigating. Especially close friends and family.

It's never good to assume things are OK just because they don't publicly display their sorrows through certain channels. Many quietly suffer until it is too late and no one was the wiser, much as I had to discover several years ago.

I hope this guy can get the help he needs. No one should suffer helplessly and no one should have to suffer losing him.

Good work finding this out, OP. You can never be too careful with these things, I'd also recommend forwarding these links to the site admins and escalate this to law enforcement if they don't reply in a timely manner.

Awesome work, happy to hear they are taking it seriously. I imagine after Isla Vista people are ready to take this sort of thing more seriously.

Contact site admins, normally they'll call the local police. If it's real you just saved a life, if it's fake you just taught somebody an important lesson.

Remind me to never come here if I ever feel suicidal - the lack of empathy on the part a few of you is rather disgusting. (It's why the suicide watch subreddit is moderated - sadly, some people would be over there shouting 'do it, you attention seeking retard!' if it weren't).

EDIT: and I don't mean all of you - most of you at least realize that suicidal thoughts are a real thing, and that 'attention seeking' isn't a bad thing if it gets people help before they harm themselves or others. But seriously, some people need to at least fake a bit of empathy...

Luckily we have a place on GAF for those who are depressed and even suicidal, filled with some of the best folks on the internet. Plenty of help discussed there. Tons of ears ready to listen.

If any GAFer is feeling an inkling of such, I'd urge you to seek professional help ASAP. But if you aren't quite comfortable yet with that or just want to start talking out your frustrations to get on the path to a clearer head then please stop by the DepGAF thread.

Totally win-win. If nothing else, the local police are aware of the situation and can check in on the person. There isn't much else that can be done.

A little bit of empathy can go a long way.
If strangers are reaching out to him, checking to see if he's okay, like some GAF members are doing , he's attitude toward people and outlook on life might change .

Hopefully, somehow he can get out of the dark place he's in now.

Just got off the phone with the dispatcher and such. I tried to provide enough information that could describe him, but without an address or phone number it might be a lengthy search to narrow down which Donnie Reisig it is. Lady said they would look into it.
