E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

What a great pic.

I was lucky enough to briefly meet him at an E3 about 10 years ago. I have never met a more happy person. It was infectious.

I have to say: especially in motion this artstyle just works. Love the comics inspired style. I imagine how this could look on something like Wii U.

I think they said in a comparison to VC, they will focus on more on the shooting mechanics, right? IDK, this seems more strategic than action so the shooting seems less like a shooter than VC.

Yeah, so far it plays even less shooter elements than VC did.

I guess enemy overwatch? Could end your turn or limit your steam use.

If you're fully spotted you can no longer back out. But, as far as I can see here, there's nothing stopping you from exploring safe areas to get everything and then resetting your movement.

It really looks like Bruce Timm, Jack Kirby, and Mike Mignola mixed with Lovecraft. I think they succeeded in doing what they wanted to do with the art. I'm surprised so many are against it.

So you gain steam back by moving back to where you were but you can still pick up items while you are moving even if you don't commit?

Where is the risk in moving then?

Cant i always move to the edge of my range in all directions and then collect items and them commit to the place i want to move.

If you're spotted by an enemy then you're commited.

There doesn't see to be much of skill element to shooting, but then again do shooters these days require much skill? I hear the ones on console have aim assist which basically fine tunes the aiming for the player.

Hm not digging that art style at all, the color palette honestly looks pretty ugly, but the Valkyria Chronicles gameplay looks good. Also they seem pretty confused about Steampunk style, which was more Victorian age, yet they are using 1930s Art Deco fonts....

What a great pic.

One would think that after more than 30 years of doing videogames, Miyamoto should be tired or literally sick of this. But just by looking at this picture Miyamoto seems to enjoy his work more than ever. What a lovely photo :')

Edit: Miyamoto has the BEST t-shirts.

Yeah, that's it. What about if I think Fire Emblem has a much better aesthetic than this game?

I'm so confused at some of the, "HAHA, look at all these people changing their minds, we were right ALL along" post. And the funny thing is I think the game looks really fun.

When I saw the pics last night, I thought it looked a bit on the weird side visually. It has nothing to do with graphic whoring, but I thought games like Fire Emblem, Valkyria Chronicles, and even Advanced Wars have a more distinct memorable look to them. This is a bit on the generic side, and isn't as exciting visually. That is all I'm really saying, I'll probably have this in my 3DS collection day one though lol.

Really hoping they release this game's OST because it's just SOOO GOOOOOD. Rest of the game looks good too, of course.

That reminds me, I've yet to buy FE:A's...

A Space setting would of been ideal for the game; the art style is off-putting to some and might impact the game sales as a result.
