Lebron James' NBA Finals record is now 2-3, fails to 3-peat this year

Replace Wade with Melo and the Heat are back on top. Easy.

Not without a PG and young shooters. They don't need one player, they need multiple. Role players. Guys who can shoot, and guys who aren't fucking idiots (Chalmers, who is auditioning for the Smush Parker Liability Award).

I don't think this series is all that indicative of his whole career. Yeah I doubt people will be saying he's the GOAT after he's done playing but this series doesn't shit on his legacy that much.

He had a pathetic team that couldn't do shit without him facing a team thats playing some of the best ball I've seen in a while.

But I gotta agree, 2 for 5 sounds horrible. Yikes.

Absolutely not, the dude hardly has a team to work with and the Spurs were dominant this year.

Still the best player of the generation and has turned around his douche-baggery in recent years. (though it's still not great)

Hope this is the end of the NBA super-team era. Basketball will be a lot more fun to watch if all the top FAs don't flock to one fucking team again.
Yeah, that was some super-team through free agency era...

You had the Heat and...well the Knicks won 54 games a year ago I guess...

Duncan? Kobe? Or are we saying they're a past gen?

We're talking about the Heat right? It reads like a post when he was on the Cavs.

The Heat are a fine enough, in that they took him to the finals every year so far and won 2 chips with him.

Shit happens.

People should be celebrating the Spurs not talking about the scrub Heat and how Lebron has no help because he was good for one quarter a game.

Also this right here.

You gotta love how Spo completely abandoned Chalmers tonight in favor of starting Wade at PG, a guy who himself proved to be a complete liability this series.

Right, went a bit on the hyperbole end there. His team may have gotten him there, but they certainly didn't perform well during the finals. They didn't do much to help him out, especially game 4.

Still better than winning 0. Plenty of retired dudes who wish they had at least 1.

*cough* Karl Malone and John Stockton *cough*

He's 2 - 5 actually....

And just as I thought, LBJ fans saying the dude needs more help. Lets give him Chris Paul as a point guard, Dwight as the center, Jamal Crawford as the sixth man... Maybe he'll have enough help then?

i hear so much hype about this LeBron guy and the Heat team. first time i actually saw them play and they get bodied. finals weren't even close. what a disappointment.

the "super-team" era=the NBA's entire existence
What are you talking about? The Minneapolis Lakers only had Mikan, Mikkelsen and Martin/Pollard. The 1960's Celtics only had Russell, Sam Jones, Cousy, Havlicek, Heinsohn, Ramsey, Sharman... The 1967 Sixers only had Wilt, Cunningham, Greer, Chet Walker. The 1970's Lakers only had Wilt, West, Baylor and Goodrich. 1970's Bucks had Kareem, Oscar, Dandridge. The 1980's Lakers only had Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Cooper/Scott/Green. The 1980's Celtics only had Bird, McHale, Parish. The 1983 Sixers only had Erving, Malone, Jones, Cheeks, Toney. The 2008 Celtics only had KG, Allen, Pierce, Rondo. 2000/2010's Spurs only had Duncan, Robinson, Manu, Parker, Leonard, Jackie Butler.

None of those lineups can compare to LeBron, Wade, Bosh and Chalmers!

Lebron just needs help. Playing with 2 of the top 5 players in his draft class/2 of the top 20 players in the league, the greatest shooter of all time/future HOF (who actually won him the ring last year), and several quality bench players custom-picked for/by him was not enough.

He can't do it alone, you know. Wade isn't a generational talent, and Bosh is not an all-star/franchise talent; he's just a stretch forward, and not specifically because of the Heat system.

Lebron needs more all-stars.

No one does it alone. Wade is washed up, and Bosh played medicore.

this should be more about the 5pur5 and less about LeBron.

but of course the same people that cry "ESPN ONLY TALKS ABOUT LEBRON!" are the same ones that talk about LeBron themselves

Bron Bron had a top 50 player + the greatest 3-point shooter in history + 7 foot center with a jump shot + solid supporting cast and he still got his ass kicked.

D Wade- 11 points tonight. 3-13 from the floor in game 4
Mario Chalmers- 25% shooting for the series.
Bosh- 13 and 7(0-5 from three)
Ray Allen- 5 points tonight and repeatedly chased off the three point line in the series.
Lebron- 31-10-5

Lebron's fault.

Jordan's Bulls didn't have to compete against an all time great coach and three hall of famers. Jordan nostalgia is the worst.

Lakers 91 magic, worthy, divac
Suns 93 Barkley, KJ, ainge
Magic 96. Penny, shaq
Pistons 91 Isaiah, rodman, dumars

Jordan scored 63 points against what I consider the 2nd best team of all time. 86 celtics

I hope this spurs win signals a return to old school basketball. I loved the offense these guys ran. Amazing to watch.

Doesn't change my perception. Always knew he was not a top player of all time. Top 10 of course, probably top 5, but no where near Jordan. Anyone who compares the two is batshit insane.

Kobe wouldnt have skulked on the bench like Lebron. He wouldve jacked up a shot every trip down the floor, but at least he wouldve gone down with a scowl and a fuck you, not a whimper on the bench.

The Heat were outclassed plain and simple. The Spurs just had a superior team top to bottom. Not really LeBron's fault.
