The kid in the gif is about 4. That kid looks about 7.
LOL for real, not same kid

Seriously. This is OT3. How in the world are you going to expect anyone to actually go through the OT's and find what they're looking for?
Brechiano is a champ and shows what true gentlemen us Australians really are compared to everyone else, especially Argentines haha
I'm just joking don't kill me
That maradona stashMessi just gave him some of his HGH.
they thought costa had the power
When it was obvious he didn't why didn't they go with the guy with the trophies? I mean Torres? C'mon.
The gif thread got locked AGAIN? WTF. Seriously, why isn't it left open! It's really useful!
![]()
Once you see it you can't not see it.
Someone got a problem with the World Cup i would say, i don't see a reason to lock it.
More than likely they don't want to set a precedent and then have 15123459 WC threads pop up
Welp!... As long as the GIF thread is locked, you'll see lotta GIF begging in this thread then, which is a shame and waste of posts!
Nah, all jokes aside I was truly enjoying watching the Socceroos, wish they advanced , they aren't the most skilled but at least they play with pride and give all they got.. Dat Tim Cahill!!
That was a really great game, and Cahill's shot was ridiculous. As an American I want the WC to be in the USA (because duh) but yeah. I'd be more than happy if it went to the Aussies.Yep take them for what they are. Sure we are not the most skilled players and can't play as good or as textbook as the top nations, but you hit the nail on the head. We play with pride and passion in our jersey. Part of all out sporting culture is having a never give up attitude and these boys showed that the last 2 games. 2006 was brilliant for us. 2010 we had a lot of problems with our manager who I still believed screwed us over, and this year we are back on track. We have lost a lot of our best stars, but with that the A League is starting to really take off and Ange has had great success as a local manager and showed he has the goods with a young squad with not only injuries, but players that have as few as 3 caps. I honestly believe we will go well in the AFC next year and that 2018 we will be primed.
We knew.it was always going to be tough to progress, we got a real tough draw, one of the hardest and that's the sad part. Had we been drawn in a better group, we would have gone through as I honestly think we have played better than a lot of teams that will go through. But that's the breaks. To win you must beat the best. As a nation we are so proud of our boys and I cannot wait until next year and than 2018. Bring it on!
Ninjas edit: with a bit of luck hopefully Qutar do lose the 2022 and it gets 're voted and we.win that. That would be glorious. And if FIFA is serious about not only growing the game in other nations, but having a host where the tourists can actually have a fun party time, we are that nation,
México did score three goals against Camerun. They will manage against Croatia.Have some fun.
Oh absolutely. Especially with those extra 30 minutes.
I think he can shut Croatia out, but it's a tactic that won't be nearly as effective past the group stage.
The Gif thread should be the exception, we can't beg for people to post gifs when they can all be organised in one thread. We now have 3 OT's that have more than 40 thousand posts combined, no one is going to comb through that to find a couple of gifs.
People were pretty hard on Pim Verbeek though, they only missed out on the knockout stage in 2010 on goal difference. They drew with Ghana playing the majority of the match with 10 men. The match against Germany was awful and he was rightfully criticised for his negative tactics in that match.Yep take them for what they are. I PMed Cornballer. Hopefully he'll sort it out. This exactly, honestly ( I am too lazy) but can someone please PM a mod and sort it out?
The World Cup only comes around once in four years and only lasts a month. Those Gifs which are intricately hand crafted and picked by the greats like SuniLegned and WoodenLung and among others; deserve a thread, a home where we can revisit them quickly and effortlessly in only few pages...
Many of those gifs bring smiles, laughter and joy to us... while they also celebrate crazy fans of different cultures from all over the world.. Why can't we have this? It's not much we ask for...

It is funny how things have swung around for Ange Postecoglou, everyone was calling for his head when he was coach of the Olympic team and he was eventually sacked. Only to come back to the A-League a few years later and dominate the competition with his side and get the Socceroos job. The interview between Ange and Craig Foster on The World Game back when he was the Olympic coach was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
I think there is one thing almost everyone can agree on - fuck Qatar hosting the 2022 WC. Send it ANYWHERE else and I'll be happy.Yeah man Cahill is a true hero. Not only his shot and his skill but he really is a top bloke.
The US would be the other logical choice for a world cup, but I do still say Austrlia. Not only because i'm selfish, but because in order to grow the game here, in which it is starting, but because the US had in in 94, Japan had a shared one, still had one though in 02, and Qatar is well, you know. I just think it was our time.
Continuing my odyssey to learn more about football and the World Cup, I found this video counting down 50 of the "World Cup's Most Shocking Moments". From what I can tell, it originally aired before the 2010 WC, so it's not included (although they gave the 2010 WC it's own countdown afterward). Both were very...educational :lol
Maybe it is kind of late, but I could not resist to post this video. This is how a city celebrates a goal (it was the 2 - 0). Chile <3

That is my big peeve about Chile sometimes. A lot of morons who ruin the peace for everyone else. Whether it be the school protests or celebrating a win in futbol. I mean in a loss I can kind of understand (not really) but we won!!! Why you gotta trash your city like that? Destroy public transportation and shit? Every city has a few anarchists looking to cause trouble in big gatherings but there seems to be more of them here.<3 <3
a shame that the usual idiots thrashed the place after a while. Just like the idiots that tried to force their entry into the Maracana without tickets. Ugh.
It is lovely. I'm here on vacation and I don't think I'm leaving lolThe place seems beautiful too.

Back to the football. This is for spanish-speaking GAF. Here are the 2 chilean goals brought to you by Claudio Palma, one of Chile's most famous play-by-play commentators. He's incredibly passional in his style, sometimes even grating, but today... I think it was all justified. He was great.
Just saw some vines of that... embarrassing, and brainless (what where they expecting?)
Anyways, flawless match by Chile today. Hopefully tomorrow Colombia can do the same with their match against Ivory Coast.
I live right beside Moneda/Universidad Central/ and parque almagro so I see first hand the destruction after the protests. But yah agreed!
Anyways I'm not even Chilean and I got pretty emotional during the call today by Claudio.
But this reminds me of a problem I have with digital cable. First, the HD channels lag a bit behind the SD channels. About 15 seconds. So I switched over to SD Canal 13 yet I was still about 5 seconds behind everyone else on my street. I don't know if Movistar is slow and everyone else is on VTR or watching over the air transmissions but it sucked because everyone would be screaming and I'd know a goal was coming before I even saw it on TV lol.
GOL DE CHILE! GOL DE CHILE! GOL DE CHILE!
So GAF, realistically what are Uruguay's chances against England tomorrow?

To be fair, at the last world cup, they let 200,000 people into Maracana.
Theyre artificially limiting it to 65,000 this year.
So GAF, realistically what are Uruguay's chances against England tomorrow?
And Spain... well, end of an era. Looking forward to seeing a completely new team with new tactics in four years. I think no one saw this coming before the world cup started.
