Belguim been weak so far the having a shit first half then clawing back a win in second won't work in later.

Or maybe you're underestimating Algeria and Russia? Algeria won their next game 4-2 and Russia finished above Portugal in the qualifiers.

The matches with Spain and the Netherlands are attractive for European sponsors and TV viewers. The matches with Brazil and Mexico are attractive for American sponsors and TV viewers. So they are shown during the according prime times?

Correct my friend.

This is an extremely accurate portrayal.

So who feels a little better about yesterday's result? Not saying it still doesn't sting a bit, but we played our balls off.

This team is moving on.

I do. Hell if you told me we'd tie portugal for sure a couple days back, i wouldn't even be mad.

BUT, overall i'm decently happy with our performance. Too many errors and I feel as if Klinsmann could have subbed out Bradley for new blood as well, but what can you do. That's just the game.

Germany pls spare us

EDIT: i'd also like for our boys to pick their shots a little better.

I feel kinda bad for hating Ronaldo after reading about all the good things he does for children.
Too bad the press has given such a bad image, the guy is so cool and compassionate, it's unfair.

At least he won the Ballon n' Or this year and La Decima. Good consolation prices.

Still pissed about that last goal last night that Portugal got. I had an awesome sick burn for Ronaldo all typed up with his Injustica gif and everything, and then that happened. Serves me right for doing that prematurely. Somehow I can't see the US or Germany settling for a draw, I know Klinsmann denied that vehemently.

Ronaldo was useless on the pitch the whole game, except for that last fucking minute. Can't believe our defense was so out of position.

I felt like it was my fault too. I made a comment with about 50 seconds left that it still didn't feel like it was over and how Messi scored late. Fucking Ronaldo basically does the same. And what makes it worse is I can only be upset at the US for getting lazy in the last minute. Hopefully the only silver lining is that they play harder than ever as a result for the FULL match.

I'm still sick to my stomach. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I just want to wake up and it be Thursday 11 AM. I'm so damn nervous how this is going to end for us...

32, or half of all 64 matches have already flown by. This week will eat another 16 quickly due to the double schedule.

Word Cup will go into slow motion after that. =\

I don't get why most of the media seems so adament that Mexico will make it through the group. I fully expect Croatia to make it tbh. Olic + Mandzukic coupled with the midfield is just so strong and they have to make up for the first game.

Maybe because Mexico played excellent versus both Cameroon (it'd have been a 3-0 game were it not by that awful refereeing) and against the host nation Brazil. Also Mexico has gotten out of the group stage in the last five WCs which is really scary how consistent in our mediocrity we are. Five consecutive WCs, five consecutive knockouts in the Round of 16 possibly unto six if we play this year against Netherlands next round. It's both ridiculous and has to be some kind of record.

What I'm trying to say is that the numbers and history is on our side. We already left Croatia out of the group stage in WC 2002. I'm not saying Mexico can't loose, I'm scared shitless that that may happen, but I'm trying to explain why Mexico may be the favorite. Not to mention we need a draw only, as opposed as a win.

Yup, completely lazy defense, they thought the game was over. Gotta play until the final whistle.

Yeah, I had a hard time sleeping as well. Should have been a win, we dominated them the whole night. Nani scored that lucky goal off a poor clearance by Cameron and then Howard fell down.

The funny thing is that this draw feels completely different than the US draw against England that's always made fun of on here. Then, that felt huge. After dominating Portugal all night, a draw felt like defeat, even though it's still a damn good result that I'd have been happy with after you showed me who we drew in our group.

Yea, I'm going to have to call bullshit on that one. No operation other than maybe plastic surgery would use such acute incision angles; it cuts off the skin's blood supply. It can be a homage, but in no way is it a replication.

Idk if it's a precise replica, but the gesture is sweet. Ronaldo has been paying this kid's surgery bills and has been involved with him for a while now.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
Everyone here thinking USA will steamroll Belgium, wow. It's only a year ago Belgium trashed USA with 2-4.

"Everyone" thinking US will "steamroll" belgium? Hardly. People think we have a decent shot against them and are looking forward to a a match we can win, based on how both teams have been playing in this tournament.

It's not the gesture, it's the "match the scar" part of the text that I was referring to. I'm not doubting his charity.

Of course he'd still want it to look good. This is Ronaldo we're talking about.

Only two other teams besides Mexico have managed to make it to the round of 16 in the last 5 world cups, guess which teams they are.

Brazil and Germany

I know that means shit for todays match tho and i'm also craping myself at the thought of losing today, i think Croatia does have a better team on paper but this os futbol and Mexico has played well so far, also like you said a tie is enough, plus is trut Piojo to play for a win today as usual.

This world soccer trophy has proven that Clint Dempsey is in the top three most valuable players in the world. The USMNT have proven how good they can be, and I think they will be strong favourites going into next years world soccer tournament. The team should be able to beat the German team comfortably, the Germany tie against Ghana proved that.
