Shovel Knight |OT| The 8-bit adventures of Butt Butt Goes to Europe & Australia

The structure of this game doesn't sound too appealing to me, which is a bummer because I at least want to hear the music!

idk, maybe I'll risk it. The reviews aren't helping me very much. Is there a decent way to make this game kinda sorta tough and tense without feeling like you're holding yourself back? The destroying checkpoints thing might not be enough. Does it seem reasonable to beat this game without buying upgrades or something? lol

lol Volgarr the Viking it aint

Started last night, enjoying it so far (I hope I would, I put $75 into backing it, haha). I decided to go with specter knight first, he whipped my ass. Finished him and king knight, did a few challenge levels, then turned in for the night. About to head back in.

Yeah, I know I can't expect that or even something like the early Mega Man games, but it's also an issue of pacing. Hearing about people replaying stages for gold is a big red flag to me.

I've never done this, nor felt the need to. I have only replayed stages to find stuff I missed the first time through.

I think you're reading wrong... people are saying that there's *too much* gold. Like they need another gold sink in the game because 2/3rds through it they've bought every last thing for sale and have no incentive to collect the gems any more.

Anyone know the download size of the 3DS version? If it's tiny, I may just tether to my phone and download it that way.

Beat the Hall of Champions last night before going to bed.

What can I say? This game is fantastic.

I mean, this isn't a masocore game. It's just a straight platformer that does what it does very very well.

NG+ may be more your speed, but yeah, this game isn't intentionally trying to kick you in the dick.

Go to your HB library, scroll to the very bottom and select the shovel Knight kickstarter option. Your key should be there.
There is no Kickstarter option. The link just says "Shovel Knight" because we preordered from the HB store. The page for it doesn't have a Steam key.

Goddamnit. I was too under the impression that i would get a steam key from HB! :( E-mailed the support though with hope that they can help me out with a Steam key.. Are they usually fast with answering e-mails?

Same here I bought the game last night.
My Humble page for it only has a direct download, no Steam key yet.

Edit: Maybe this is due to the game not being for sale on steam yet, the store page still says an hour until it unlocks...

So I bought from the website a few hours ago but never received an email of confirmation of some sort except for the amazon payments one about my transaction. Should I be worried?
I didn't have a Humble account so I can't track my purchase :x
