Yeah. Mewtwo and Lucas are the two veterans I'd be bummed about, but there's always going to be some losses when you get to this size of a roster. And, yes, this is one game I'm in full support of DLC for, as it seems they're not skimping out on the main package.
 
Did we ever confirm if the thing about Mii fighter replacing the random button (when customization is on) was true? Because that would actually make sense, and they could still add mewtwo!

Mewtwo not returning would surprise me far more than any of the newcomer inclusions (yes, really). It just feels like it makes too much sense... but then again, I suppose you could say that another Donkey Kong character, or even Takamarau, "would make a lot of sense" based on similar popularity and relevancy factors.

I don't actually care whether he's in, myself. But when the demand is there, I think it would be nice to give the people what they want - and I would relish in seeing some of the whingers being forced to eat serious crow.

By the way, I just caught up by skimming through the last... entire topic-and-a-half? Jeez. It's nice to see that this place hasn't changed.
 
Tomorrow should be called "False-out Friday", or as Sakurai calls it, "Friday".

I waver between belief due to the Sakurai hints, and remembering how certain all the world was that Megaman would be in MvC3...plus he isn't mentioned in the Sal leak, and I am very confident in its veracity.

So is Donkey Kong the biggest character at the moment? He seems absolutely massive compared to everyone else this time around.

You know I just want to say now I never lost a match once in any Smash ever. I always felt it would be unfair to participate in tournaments, but for the first year of Smash 4 3DS and Wii U I will compete. Only for that year though, my abilities are best used to help those in need.
 
Fake veterans aside, I do want some crow eating to be done by the time Smash comes out. I've always wanted to make a Google Docs drive where there would be three columns and you would put your definitive decision about whether Mewtwo or Ridley would be in the game:

And we would just shut it down a month before Smash 3DS comes out and we'll have the tastiest crow eating ever.
